How do you maintain to stay motviated to roleplay?

Being in a faction and a part of a smaller community is pretty helpful, because I've had a lot of friends who ended up bored and got nothing else to do, so they quit. Even in a faction, I think the point is often missed that this is a game in the end, and if you're able to fit it in as a part of your leisure time, without being unnecessarily attached to it, you won't end up always thinking about the negative aspects (which inevitably exist), and simply enjoy the session while it lasts.

I think switching things up every once in a while is what drives me. I have always been a LEO on any community I played on as my main, but if I ever get burned out, I sometimes switch around into trucking, illegal rp, etc. on the side. Sometimes I think it's good to find other hobbies or games that could keep your attention focused.

I just genuinely enjoy roleplaying, I don't really need "motivation". If I am not feeling like it, I don't. If you feel like it's a chore then don't burn yourself out.

Exactly this.
