Pistol Switches (A Ingame item that turns a pistol into a automatic "AP Pistol")

Honestly feel like these should be added into the game as a item, that illegal roleplayers can use. It can even advance roleplay with officers and have crimes with the federal bureau. It is pretty realistic because at this day and moment  Switches are the main things with gun violence. Even though it says Chicago and etc states this is a mainstream thing in gang violence in LA IRL or the LS lore Los santos.

These modifications for handguns are relatively new, being popularized primarily by rappers and gangsters over social media. These "Switches" are tiny parts that turn a Glock pistol into a mini-machine gun, capable of firing dozens of rounds within seconds. These were originally appearing in US from sellers outside of the U.S. These tiny parts come with a Glock logo imprinted on it, to make it seem like they are manufactured by the company that makes the pistols themselves, but they are not. Before the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives got a handle on the situation, these parts could be purchased for less than 30$.

After they became popular, a lot of gang members and criminals started profiting off the craze, importing thousands of switches from other countries, and marketing them as "key chains". This started to become more and more popular, as they were targeting the most popular platforms for teenagers: Snapchat and Instagram. With these pages popping up, a lot of teenagers were purchasing them, but a lot of them were getting robbed or scammed too. This resulted in some of the more popular pages to start expanding their business, opening more and more accounts, one by one being taken down by the platforms they were advertised on. Some of the resellers decided to go to Youtube, where most of them found out that their videos could rack up hundreds of thousands of views without being taken down. More and more managed to make successful "trust worthy" pages, which were making the "Switch" epidemic more and more of a problem.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives started noticing these parts popping up around Chicago mostly, being made popular by gangster rappers in the area, but soon spread across the U.S, making their way into gang members and criminal's hands all over the country. This is one of the many problems that Police officers encounter every day, most criminals have newer and better guns then them, some even turning their already customized firearms into full auto machine pistols.

Supported. These are rather very common here in California and definitely would be fair for legal and illegal roleplayers as all it does is make a pistol automatic. If approved I'd suggest that the recoil is VERY high as shooting these in real life at a rapid rate has so much recoil to the point you'd barely even be able to hit a target while firing rapidly.

On the one side yes seeing as there is a constant cat and mouse game between criminal entities and Law Enforcement in any field that allows for crime to happen leading to new avenues for both sides of the spectrum, another screams no. A good chunk of the firearms in the circulation are already fully automatic rifles or SMGs. There is rarely any gang shooting witnessed by police that does not involve any sort of automatic firearm. Now making a more or less larger portion of the distributed handguns also fully automatic would create a variety of issues, including the always praised game balance. Even if it comes with hefty tolls such as reduced damage compared to a normal pistol (infamous 2-tap)  and stronger recoil compared to the long(er) gun alternatives, it would still hold a strong effect on that concept of a game balance, r.e. what happens when even your common street thug is better armed than those enforcing the law.

Looking back at decisions taken surrounding modern technology and new inventions on the market, it would also mark a change in direction to the firmly established status quo in the past months of FM, should this suggestion be accepted. Most motions towards modern or even commonly established technology has been cut off in favour of a game balance, the question of whether it would be realistic or not had no weight in comparison to the game balance argument. The most notably case of such has been the removal of facial recognition in investigative roleplay - image to image comparison (with mugshots of prior arrestees on database), something anyone opening google image search can do with ease being disallowed.

AP Pistol is the best handgun in GTA:V, it's deadly accurate, has no recoil, can go up to 36 ammo capacity and does the same damage as a rifle. I do like the idea of being able to get your handgun made automatic, such as a Glock - but it shouldn't turn into an AP Pistol (which has no real-world counter-part that's entered mass production).

The AP Pistol is extremely busted and I feel it should stay off the server.

For this I would say keep AP pistols out of the game but add the modification for the glock item we have ingame. I honestly like this suggestion but should only be for the glock item ingame.

Doesn’t the server already use different stats for weapons?? Everyone against it so far doesn’t seem to realize that.

The argument that criminals have more fire power than LEO rpers is one of the worst arguments you can make. A LEO rper dies and gets to respawn with a weapon and takes no real loss while criminal rpers put it on the line.
