That's poor reasoning. The server has rules. Even if America has mass shooters, DMing 20 people in Pillbox Hill would get you banned. Those rules exist to keep the server fun and fair.

Houses that have a market value of 300K selling for 10 times what they were purchased for is madness.

And in real life your 5th house comes with costs that simply don't exist on this server. You don't need to pay taxes or maintenance. House flippers can own those properties and wait until they can sell them for an infinite amount. That fucks up the economy, gives them a huge advantage and is simply unfun to deal with as a normal player that just wants to own a house for the purposes of roleplay.

Some characters make millions within illegal roleplay, some people make alot of money from maybe once in their character lifetime property deal and are a legal character. And it does not mean they have not been roleplaying for those six months or however long in that property. As long as the rules are not broken its not a problem. Why try to fix everything.

Exactly, should be the "roleplay" part that counts.

Because as it is, on a legal character you need to play and earn for 2 years before you can get a house. That s way too long.

The prices are too high. Shacks go for 3 million dollars

I disagree with trailers going for so much however.

In a hundred hours of RPing in a business, you'll earn $400,000. This doesn't include bonuses + tips. That can be earned in a month if you R.P. 3 hours a day, every single day, without including bonuses. This doesn't include the $500-$800 hourly earning, which would be an extra $46,500-$74,000 during those three hours (monthly scale).  On top of that, you'll have $200,000 minus whatever vehicle you've purchased in that time period.

If you work for AURUM or The Port Authority? They pay even better for only 3-6 hours of RP every week.

Average UNIT costs around $85,000 - $500,000.

Now, within that first month? You'd be able to afford an already well-furnished apartment in the city. After 3 months? You'll earn another $1,200,000 or so if you continue labouring in such a way, alongside with whatever was earned from selling the unit (MP + Furniture x3).

You want a large house in L.S.? They're scarce, so only those that have the wealth and proper portrayal should earn one of those. Nothing wrong with RPing for 6 months to finally earn it.

It doesn't take years. You could probably afford a house in 2-3 months of RPing on the server (even if you name-change a character).

Average Illegal characters on the other hand? They don't accumulate any income other than bonus cheques and maybe a couple thousand dollars on a drug deal.

However, I do agree that it's ridiculous for a trailer to cost a million, or even $500,000. Prices are too high. But, for the houses in the market? No problem with it. I only have an issue with people "trading" houses.

Yeah it does. Cops make 42,000 a week, which is extremely low for this server's economy. That's some 170,000 $ a month.

Houses go for millions, a nice one usually reaches 3-4M dollars. That means I'd have to play some 2 years here to afford a nice house.
