Ruben Paredes (born 4th of February, 1981) is a detective working for the Operation Safe Streets Bureau, out of Davis Station. Paredes was sworn in on the 3rd of January 2002, and briefly worked at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility before serving at the Davis Station, Los Santos from 2002 to 2005, before transferring to the county where he served until 2010. In 2010, Paredes joined the Gang Enforcement Team, and worked his way up to Senior Gangs Detective where he now overlooks the Davis Area. UpmrvXB.png

 

Early Life


On the 4th of February, 1981, Paredes was born in Paleto Bay, Blaine County. Paredes' mother was a preschool teacher born in Delicias, Chihuahua, then brought to the U.S when she was two years old. Paredes grew up with his older sister Olivia Paredes, along with his grandparents, Clara Paredes and Antonio Paredes in a small house in Paleto.

 

Career


On the 3rd of January, 2002, Paredes was sworn in as a deputy sheriff trainee of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department. Paredes started his career off briefly at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility as an inmate guard. From 2002-2003 until 2010, Paredes worked in patrol until he applied for the Gang Enforcement Team, and served there until being promoted to a gangs detective in the Operation Safe Streets Bureau working Davis. In 2020, Paredes got his promotion to Senior Gangs Detective, leading the Davis Team.
