Hey guys, if this thread continues in discussion of factions, it's going to be locked and archived. It's just faction bashing at this point with no constructive criticism, just pointless opinions to flame at factions they don't agree with. Continue with other topics.

Another unpopular opinion:

People are unable to read closely and put words into other's mouths to fit their narratives.

what I strongly believe a vast majority doesn't aim to portrait

"vast majority" is not "everybody", thus I didn't state "nobody" would portrait this.

I questioned why we take a mass of precedence cases there as reason for general rules (when admin discretion could easily cover slapping people for posting e-penis on facebrowser), but not for cases of killing each other.

The result of this is described above, murder happens constantly and is usually well within the rules:

It's true though that legitimate reasons to kill are sometimes really weird, and CK perms seem to be handed out like candy sometimes :x

You see the reasons that are approved, there are some, not even a hardened criminal would think it's remotely reasonable :x

Amen to that.

And yet another unpopular opinion: If denied a ck app, players should be obliged to not "just pk" their desired target, but be forced into other methods of conflict resolution.

Illegal roleplay will always be subpar due to the amount of new people who want to roleplay it. It'll also remain subpar with the amount of people who disregard the rules and just hate civilian roleplay because they think cars and houses are a bad omen of roleplay.

It needs limitations, best on ic level.

The harder it is to successfully engage in something (here: crime), the more this will feel rewarding if achieved, while simultaneously excluding those that are not putting in any effort, disregard rules etc.

Whoever thinks they can support criminal rp by opening more stuff that can be done without repercussions (ic or ooc, regardless), is actually doing it wrong as it just invites the mass to play reckless crimelords while lowering the bar for those who are actually trying to reflect something that makes sense (not like we didn't have these people here, after all).

Why is the lsrp-2014 setup held high in romantic regards as alleged pinaccle of illegal rp?
Because it had a big bad PD that getting away from actually felt rewarding for those that managed.

IDK I mean you'd expect most people to understand the concept of any RP considering most of us been doing it forever now.

I think people stopped caring about how well they RP illegally because of how boring it truly is.

having a strong emotional response to something doesn’t automatically mean that your opinion is correct

things that outrage you may mean absolutely nothing to others

if you can’t comprehend this you shouldn’t enter discussions outside of echo chambers of people with similar views or you will constantly feel attacked
