ZaE Posted February 7, 2022 Share Posted February 7, 2022 Introduction The district of South Central is experiencing some of the most deadly rises in crime and poverty in a past decade, what use to be a hot-spot middle class dream back in the 30s and 40s has now turned into a war-zone, from the local street gangs getting more and more powerful by the second, and the ones who aren't as powerful getting more and more deadly on their chase for power and money, all the way to the lack of government funding in schools and housing in the area and over-all lack of income in the district has gotten worse by the second. South Central is riddled with heavy amounts of violent street gangs and crews, drug trafficking, homelessness, gun violence, substance abuse and much more. The average South Central teenager only have a few options if they want to survive in the deadly streets, either try their past to stay in school, sell drugs, or pray they get a ULSA scholarship. The extremely low income of almost every single home in the area when put next to the more tamed areas of Los Santos like Mirror Park, Little Seoul etc. is a call for failure. And the lack of government interest in the last few years has begun a chain of violence. The Community The community of South Central is extremely diverse and complicated, from Latinos, Caucasian, African American and more, the different races in the area makes the culture extremely unique and diverse, the community is in a split between casual, low income residents which could be mothers, fathers, grandparents, owners of a business in the area etc, and the other side of the community is the young kids and teenager's that usually get groomed into a life of violence and crime, which to them is seen as a way to possibly get enough money to "make it out the hood". These young men and women have good intentions and only want to get food on the table for their struggling families, but in doing so get caught up in years worth of beef between rival gangs that lead to shooting, stabbings, street fights, and much more. But what people fail to realize in even in a neighborhood plagued with violence, there is still a community of kids and adults that aren't involved in gang violence, some adults that might own businesses in the area like Bishop's Chicken, La Vaca Loca, Davis Liquor and much more. There are kids that make their way out of the hood through education or sports, and these successful cases are commonly overlooked. Gang Influence The influence street gangs have on South Central is no small topic, these gangs keep growing by the year and drag more and more children into the life of crime, but this is not anybody's fault but the city's and the country, due to their lack of interest to help these children and communities to grow, it leads for more and more kids to pick up a gun and make their own path. Here's a brief list of the most popular, influential and active street gangs in Davis within the past year. Which consist of but isn't limited too Rollin 90s Neighborhood Crips, 59 Hoover Criminals Gang, Tree Top Piru, Main Street Parcboys, Tortilla Flats 13, Florencia 13, 107 Hoover Criminals Gang, W/S 83 Hoover Criminals Gang, W/S Rollin 60's Neighborhood Crips and Jurassic Park Gangster Brims. These eleven gangs alone have made more noise in South Central then any gangs in recent years. From the drug distribution to mass shootings that lead to death of multiple children, these gangs have the most power in all of the district. Community Response These past few years have been extremely hard for the people of South Central, Los Santos Police and even affiliated members of local street gangs, there have been more homicides in the district in the last two years then ever before, and most of these homicides consist of young gang affiliates, residents in the wrong place at the wrong time or local deputies and officers who died at the hand of these gangs while trying to crack down or interfere on their operations, the turf and gang wars that constantly spike and pop off in recent times have led to a city-wide fear and hatred towards the neighborhood of South Central, mother's of children moving out of the area after bullets flying through their drywall, father's of sons getting shot dead all due to their relation, the impact these reckless and ruthless gang's actions have had on the community cannot be explained lightly, and the state of South Central only gets worse by the day. The impact that the gangs make on the community and each other will always resort in a response from residents, one and other and local police, and when force and justice is attempted to be brought upon these young affiliates it only leads to more and more bloodshed, the current state of South Central will only get worse and worse in time, and most residents of the city and district have begun to accept that, the state of gangs are way too deep to simply be swiped off of the streets, even when local police respond accordingly with operations such as Operation Red Dawn, Operation Zookeeper, Operation Safe Streets and many more it will never truly stop the wave of violence. Moving on, below will show the two most popular gang related homicides in recent years. Nalani "Infant Lady Tr3y Fingerz#5" Epps took it upon herself to get a T shirt made disrespecting the fallen Jaleni "P9" Hadley , many attribute this to be the main factor of her tragic death. The same night Epps posted pictures of her wearing the T shirt, a car full of 83HCG affiliates and another car full of MSMC affiliates butted heads in traffic. This resulted in a shootout leaving one Main Street Mafia Crip injured and both cars riddled with bullets. A day after this shootout MSMC affiliates drove by Forum Drive where Nalani was standing outside the 1804 apartment building and shot once in the neck and several times in the body. Nalani was pronounced DOA and bled out in her brother Delaney's hands. This sparked the social media movement and hashtag #83Days83Nights, calling for back to back murders on all enemy gangs. (Credit to @meechie) Standrell "Ceeface" Bowman was a local Rolling 90s affiliate and musician that was brought into the gang at a young age, due to his put-on and significant role in 90s, he was dragged into the war between Rolling 90s and 83 Gangster Crips, he then brought it upon himself to get involved in 90s beef with 83 Gangster Crips heavily and is rumored to have had been in multiple gun fights with his rivals, he continued to disrespect and make multiple songs and bars dissing them and their dead affiliates, even going as far as disrespecting online. Until eventually the karma from dissing the dead caught up to him. In response to a drive-by shooting that occurred in Chamerbalin Hills , On the morning of July 7th, 2021, Standrell Bowman was enjoying his summer break when he was drove up on by two cars and opened fire open, he attempted to flee into the infamous Capital Boulevard apartment complex, firing shots back at the two vehicles but was eventually ran up on and shot dead. Standrell Bowman bled out for hours inside of the complex right near the front door, and it wasn't until an unnamed 90s affiliate came across the corpse and Bowman was officially pronounced dead. This sparked heavy response on Social Media from affiliates of 90s, and even heavier response in violence towards 83 Gangster Crips, a reported nine combined homicides were committed from both parties, and tension still stands between these sets to this day. OOC INFORMATION The goal and purpose of this thread is to bring together both legal and illegal sides of roleplayers in South Central and giving them a place to post all of their screenshots in one spot, the vital point of this entire concept of bringing the community together is revive South Central roleplay and bring the communtity feeling back, out of all the areas in Los Santos, South Central is the only one without both sides of the community, or better worded..a stable balance between both sides, places like K-Town, Grapeseed, Blaine County and much more have the perfect balance of both worlds.
