Prohibit registration of new (M) Minor characters or tighten restrictions regarding their portrayal

The biggest issue I see with minor characters in gangs is that they all want to roleplay being a warrior, yet few wish to roleplay developing into one, so what you commonly find is that there are 16 year old, fully developed gang warriors in a very hostile environment which in turn, leads to a ridiculous amount of violence in the area of gang turfs due to all of them constantly puffing out their chests to one up the other. The sad truth is that the majority (not all) of these players play to win against each other and unfortunately miss a lot of roleplay opportunities because they lack respect for one another on an OOC level and roleplay around having the most drug hp and who can get the first punch in, in a script fight. This isn't always the case, but it does happen a lot.

The issue as already mentioned, isn't there being a lot of minor characters in gang areas, this is very typical of gang environments and they are rather annoying at times which is true to life, the issue lies in the quality of roleplay that becomes the norm in these areas.

A minor (16 years old btw) did the following things in 3 mins;

- Opened fire at a group at Forum Drive with a military rifle. Alone.

- Entered his personal vehicle Premier (how he bought it and with what money is unknown).

- Police shot at him once during pursuit. The minor kept driving and handled the vehicle with no issue whatsoever.

- Gunned down and killed 4 cops with his military rifle, 100% accuracy.

- Got into the vehicle, fled, barricaded himself in an apartment before surrendering.

- Was discovered he was hooked up on 4 different drugs.

A RQPM was sent, obviously.

Do not ban minors. Ban poor-RPers who portray minors really poorly. Unfortunately, the majority of minor players roleplay very very poorly.

Someone suggested that (M) characters should have disadvantages by script such as the inability to drive a car perfectly fine (with random losing control), 50% increase to recoil and 50% decrease on maximum health points. This does sound RPG and such but... In GTAW, you got minors who behave like adults and RP resisting and fleeing whilst already being pinned down by 2+ cops.

Same could be said about 2102391931923192013013 lesbian characters who all want to be a super famous model with D cups. Your point is simply invalid, very few people want to develop it cause this server encourages this sort of mentality, and the changes have to apply specifically to everybody not just some handpicked groups, because somebody feels offended.

When people say things like "15 year olds running around with guns in South-Central", I often think that people have never lived there. Everyone, in those hoods, are strapped. One is "lacking" if they aren't.

Most hoods in the U.S. have teenagers that are armed with rifles. Even more common, in 2021, than in the 1990s since nearly ANYBODY can search for these resources without having to work their way through a legitimate set/gang.

In 2021, you have posers flashing their AK-47 or AR-15 with an extended magazine while sipping on a bottle of lean on Tik-Tok. Wasn't as common in the 90s... guns had to be earned, alongside with a bunch over other things. Now? Anybody can start a clique, and the "realest" are those that survive the wars.

Now, do I believe that these same 14-16 year-olds can conduct mass-hits against 4-5 targets, including police, while driving an overpriced vehicle? Not at all. That's the issue. Report those that do.

Of course there are other players who's character portrayals are very questionable, but whenever this kind of topic comes up, the reply is always directed back towards "lesbian racer roleplayers" we all know this is an issue as well, but redirecting on these players isn't at all contributing to the discussion at hand and simply ignores issues mentioned. Just because systems are in place doesn't mean that people have to use them, they are used purely on a play to win mentality, and that's a players choice at the end of the day.

Personally, I think a lot of drugs should give minus hp, I doubt they would be abused then, and people would actually roleplay drug addicts because that's what they want to roleplay, not because it makes them more of a script warrior.

if this gets approved, ban the lesbians

What does female and different sexual orientation characters have to do with excessive use of minor characters in gangs?

The thread above already contains plenty of reasons, but this is also a pointless change. The problem is not really minor characters, but the players behind some of them. You can combat a bunch of symptoms all you like, but if the underlying problems are not addressed, they will just appear somewhere else.

It's the notion that improper portrayal should not lead to forcing the entire population to undergo an application process to create such characters. Instead, rehabilitate or punish those that fail to portray their characters, effectively.

This is true. Prohibiting minor characters will just cause the players to turn towards different avenues. It'll be the same thing, but the characters will simply age up to 18-19 years old as a work-around. I think this suggestion is confusing the forest for the trees.

There are also people who sexually exploit (M) characters, on both sides.

This is more or less the only reason minor characters should be prohibited as far as I'm concerned. These situations are rare - as far as I know - but they do indeed happen on this server. While banning the people who engage in these activities is one 'solution', a community that allows for minor characters is a community that may attract the wrong people.

it's a topic about roleplay quality and the excessive use of a roleplay type.

just like you don't want to see minor characters, nobody wants to see lesbian characters as they don't benefit the community with any type of useful roleplay.
