THIS THREAD WILL FOLLOW THE DEVELOPMENT OF WADE JACKSON

Prelude

Wade Andrews Jackson. Born in '97, Davis Central Hospital. His mother, Mary, died birthing him. Raised by his single father, Wade Andrews, in the slums of Davis, Los Santos, along with his older brother, Joshua. A though childhood that produced a challenged, damaged carricature of a person.

Completely devastated by the loss of his wife, Wade Andrews Sr. took it out on his children. Ever since birth, Wade felt like an outsider. The relationship with his brother was the only thing keeping him sane. Although his father's love was there, it was often eclipsed by heavy alcohol abuse, usually followed by physical or mental abuse. Some days were better, some were not. Regardless, he pushed through - and it all had devastating effects on his future self.

Coming up to his teenage years, his early childhood was plagued by his home situation, combined with his rough general area. Shootings, substance abuse, and gang activity were a daily occurrence. It all shaped his character, as Wade began opting for solitude and having a sober attitude. He did, however, have a couple of good friends, JC and Daequan, with who he grew up, hung out, and went through to school and later high school.

His first big wake-up call was losing his friend, Daequan, to the gang life. Absorbed by a local set, their bond weakened. However, living close to each other, Wade got to see his friend enter the life, go through the misery, and, eventually, die to an overdose in his early 14s. An unfortunate event with even more unfortunate aftermath on the mind of a weak, innocent child. A premature preview of what life is, if you may.

15-20 Y/O

Wade's path through high school was quiet and mediocre, at best. His grades were barely hitting the lower average, his interest in football spiking by the day. His main focus was now mindlessly following his coach, spending his days and nights in the gym or on the field. His athletic passion, however, damaged the lack of his academic one. Being held back for summer school in his senior year and not attending his prom night and graduation was his sign that college is not for him, quickly having all of his little dreams crushed right in front of his eyes.

Even though he was looking for a purpose in life, he was hopeless until the day he was pulled aside by an army recruiter. It didn't take a lot of convincing as his name appeared on the empty list. His late teens were spent away from home, training and eventually enrolling. He was assigned to the 185th Infantry Regiment, 1st Batallion out of San Andreas. He didn't get to spend much time at base - he was shipped off to Afghanistan days before his 19th.

20-24 Y/O

The long-awaited return to the homeland took place six months after his deployment. Fresh back home, he quickly readapted to his training schedule. However, he met a girl and his whole life changed. She didn't stick around for long, but long enough to make him resign from the army and start looking for stability.

His first impulse led him to volunteer at several community centers around South Central, where he spent his days and nights, sweat and tears, trying to give the younger generation the opportunities and normal childhood he'd never experienced. And it was rewarding. He soon realized that his passion for his job meant more than he thought. His quest to find meaning was apparently starting to produce results.

Wade expanded onto his newly-found passion and put his already-developed skills to use by clicking on an advert and applying to the Sheriff Department's academy class of 2020. After his graduation and two years spent in the county jail he was assigned to the Tongva Valley station and, again, after numerous hundreds of hours spent going through the field training program, he was reassigned to the Paleto Bay Station. Out of his comfort zone, almost homeless and with no clue what's coming next, Wade steps carefully forward and tries to navigate the dullness, find his calling, and bring a change in the lives of those around him.
