Admins wanna spend some time actually roleplaying.

If you wanted to roleplay you shouldn't have become an admin for a busy server. I get that most admins just want to help out but if they're focused on roleplay and not what they volunteered to do the should just resign IMO. Not getting to roleplay is the sacrifices admins make when they sign up. Would probably feel alot better if you guys actually got paid in world points for your hours on admin duty or something or other...but I doubt that'd fly due to Panda.

There's not enough LEO's online.

How are people supposed to know that there arn't enough LEO's online because it doesn't say anywhere in /onduty...

We're tired of gangs raiding other opp gangs properties in hopes they find guns or drugs.

I think break-ins should be primarily for monetary gain, IRL home invasions are done as quickly as possible, you often won't find criminals spending extended periods of time inside properties as the longer you spend inside a property the bigger risk you have of getting caught - it's not feasible to randomly raid a property just for a gun, you raid a property for anything of value, it's sort of like a smash and grab, only quieter. Planned robberies are different, if a gang knows via IC means that the house they are breaking into contains firearms and narcotics, OFCOURSE they're going to want to steal them so they can make money selling them or using them.

You keep bugging admins by directly PM'ing them asking them to take your request. (This happens a lot and it gets tiresome)

Nobody wants to bug admins but we have to in order to get anywhere, roleplay shouldn't have to rely on admins it should be driven by the players and script..or something or other...admin intervention should be a last resort in an ideal world..oh well.

Admins are volunteers, as players of this community who wish to contribute their time for free in order to help the server they love along with its players, "not getting to roleplay is the sacrifices admins make when they sign up." this is completely false, admins are also players of this community and deserve to enjoy it just as much as anyone else.

We check, and then we inform them if there isn't.

Of course. The entire reasoning for burglary is monetary gain, but that doesn't mean we don't get bored of the same type of break-in requests, there's always things we can be working on as an admin, yet we choose to take the break-in's. What I'm saying is they lack depth of some solid roleplay, simply zerging the place looting every spot they get the chance to, instead I'd like to see a mix of roleplay happening, trashing the place, maybe even set it on fire! there's lots of different roleplay that can happen, but simply doesn't due to a lot of players valuing script items more than the roleplay and that is what we grow tired of seeing time after time.

Besides the "not enough staff/LEO's at hand" thing, what about the real issue, that is, us simulating a nutshell small town and not a megacity with hundreds of thousands of residences one can break into without to ever likely run into the owner?

People (including the op here) imply the sole reason break-ins do not get permitted frequently is a lack of manpower (from staff side mostly).

But would dispatching an admin to constantly orchestrate burglaries be an option?

No, as we'd be through with the properties available on the server within a few weeks and would then have to seriously talk about crime rates and realism (as those falling victims to repetitive non interactive burglaries would complain if they happened too often).

tl;dr,

It has nothing to do with anyone's roleplay quality, and staff not being free to deal with it is a mere bandaid to not go to core of the issue (that being, the ingame environment not supplying quantitatively enough properties to break into without to constantly bother other players who then have to deal with the aftermath of their private place being rampaged by people in their character developement).

This is the meta-reason why not every breakin-request can be replied to positively.

Tiny checks like this shouldn't have to take place - it's just more work for the already burdened admin team. It should just say on /onduty

Unfortunately not a viable option, it would do far more worse than good as people would simply abuse this to commit crimes when there's not many on duty, not everyone of course, but yeah.
