Fleeca Bank portal - Ability to create new accounts and partition accounts.

Recommended Posts

Agreed, would be a great addition as we try to expand the business schemes to allow more WFH businesses. Here's my thoughts?

Splitting accounts:

Should be able to have like "pots" like Monzo do for example. Savings pot, outgoings pot etc. You can set little direct debits between them and it would allow people to roleplay bills a little more realistically without /charity which is a lil crap honestly.

This shouldn't need any admin intervention at all, let players split their existing accounts however they like.

Should be do-able for personal and business accounts.

Joint accounts:

Should be able to go to a bank IG with a partner or other player, run a command like /setjointbankaccount [targ]. Other player gets a confirmation message to accept and boom, you have a joint account together.

This might need to be limited to players that are /partnered to prevent some abuse, unless other things can be put into place to prevent unauthorized asset transfers.

Again same with pots, can change it as and when you need. Perhaps there could be some cool co-sign permissions for transactions over X amount even, not sure.

Business Accounts - no business script:

Would love to see it, but I think this is the part that would need to have some sort of oversight. Perhaps request these in the UCP, typical 24/48 hour wait which isn't unreasonable.

As PM, we need to make sure people aren't just buying apartments to run as businesses. Obviously there's a difference between working from home or running a small thing from one room in an apartment, to turning the entire property into a business. This should be a simple process, basically "this is why I want it" and confirming the property name. That's it, no need to have experience, have a job, do anything. If you want to be a food truck business owner you should not need to tell us anything other than "i'm doing this".

I think the business item scheme (something I'm looking to evolve still as it needs polishing to make it more accepting of concepts) would work great with this.

Since the business also needs to be registered, I don't think this would be unreasonable?

Or as there was a brief discussion on discord ... we start allowing blank business scripts in residential apartments for approved concepts.

Concepts are approved by PM when the script is requested, otherwise it's generally a trust system like it is now. Don't map a casino in an apartment, but you could turn a bedroom into a photo studio or a sewing room etc.

I will bring that up within PM leads and see the blank script/residential side. Less red tape where we can and more freedom as long as it isn't at the expense of quality.

Would love to see this. I'm all for a more natural evolution from small, at-home business to something larger or if they choose, to keep it as an at-home business. Not every business needs a stand-alone building for their operations. I agree that small oversight is needed, but that shouldn't be too difficult.

I think what would be an important fact, is if you need to put your name on an account or not. I think you should. If you do an illegal trade and give someone a routing number, and then the cops learn about the number, they can ask the bank for the contact info of the account number.

If you can easily make accounts with false info, I expect bigger issues. But if accounts need names then cash is still the best way to move money around without tracing it.

But in the end, I support, fully. Give me an option to put a savings account with an option for a /perpaychecktransfer
