Cartoonhead
Well shit if it doesn't break anything. Can only see the positives. +1 Link to comment
orca112
The purpose of most CCTV cameras are storing footage and being able to access them at a later time. Watching live footage will rarely find any actual use as, most of the time, there will either be nothing going on or you shouldn't be behind the screen, but where things go down. Link to comment
Hendrix Jackson
Considering we can't send messages across to people who isn't online, how would we able to have footage 24/7 that stores largely more than a text? Still fuck with the idea tho +1 Link to comment
GBNIX
This idea is possible but not at the same time knowing that this project would take a long time period and will have a lot of bugs probably, people still have to Roleplay the cameras being there.. Link to comment
Triple Seven
Like others have said, pointless in most situations, you collect the recorded video after the fact, you don't record it actively during, that makes little sense. While a disturbance is going down, it is rare a player can just open up the CCTV interface and record whatever is going on, as they're involved in that situation. This would only work (and catch) stupid characters that break into houses with no preparation, unmasked, ungloved, etc. As involved people are not allowed to lie in /do and others can screenshot and use things like Shadowplay (when CCTV is present) as evidence (thank god), this doesn't add all too much, while taking considerable development capacity I assume.
