Actually, I really enjoy it when civvies try to form groups for safety. Bring a few automatics, maybe a rifle, and you've got the necessary firepower to corral upwards of three times your own team size.

The best part is that you can tell them in no uncertain terms that if any single one of them makes a mistake, everyone dies. Makes them MUCH more cooperative when it's the lives of their friends that could be lost for their one accidental cough.

Plus, it multiplies the gains like crazy. A single group of four will usually have enough to pay off an AK, making the act pretty much self-sustaining.

And if they have guns themselves? Nothing an AK can't handle.

Haven't seen this happen, yet. Bet it's extremely uncommon for four robbers to try and rob six people, at once. They usually target lone wolves or couples, not groups, unless it's a literal shoot-out with their opps.

If you focus on prowling through Mirror Park, Vespucci, Vinewood, and in the rough vicinity of Mission Row, you can usually nab the groups while they're on their way to a club or casino. Lots of cash and usually a gun or two to snag.

It's way profitable.

Yeah? Is it fair game to have $40,000 robbed in a single "HANDS!" after you turn a corner? Get robbed 45k in a 1 minute scene? Is that FAIR GAME?

I don't think so, no.

That’s kinda how it happens IRL. You get robbed they don’t go “fuck bro you’ve got stuff worth too much I can only take half of it”. No they take it all. Also why would an individual carry around 40k in cash in their pockets?

OP, it’s been a problem even before the rule was removed, you couldn’t rob more than 5k but you could wait till someone comes out a pawnshop with a 20k watch and take that instead, then pawn it off for 7k because the pawnshops supply of jewelry is too high for this reason.

I don’t think this rule is needed, if a 20k watch gets snatched, it gets snatched, we have to take some things on the chin as stupid as it feels.

The robbery limit was for cash specifically. Even pre-update, items were always up for grabs and this was talked before within staff. This update has changed nothing but promotes people to not have stupid amounts of cash in-hand.

This is also still actively being talked about within staff and adjustments will likely be made in the near future. So it's on the radar. Given the reports received about forum rule violations (and yes, posts were hidden already) coupled with a full eight pages of input to process - Locked and classing as forwarded.
