I just had a player with no attributes set, so I had no idea what age that player was. It just said that this player had still to set their examine up. So, not at all times is this an option to do.

If it's implemented it's because it's needed and was requested from both LFM / IFM councils & many players. It's a constant issue where players abuse the fact that they have minor characters and only release the information at the end of a scene at their advantage. /examine is very rarely filled correctly.

LEO weapons are very special to avoid abuses, it will take a lot of work to turn them into items that cannot be abused and it's not planned to be included in that update for now. Their budget sheets will have to include weapons repairs / cleaning etc. but their weapons, while they can still jam, will always be considered clean & in good durability for now. Realistically speaking the LAPD isn't using 30 years old AK47 from Russia and is storing weapons in secure places, regularly buying new ones / getting military grade equipment. I don't see myself spending a month long of development to revamp everything related to "virtual" LEO weapons just for this.

I can appreciate the need to clean and maintain your firearm. As someone who lives in the south (Virginia, for example), we often use and maintain them ourselves, as I can't imagine needing to take to it someone to do so. But I like that we'll, at the least, be able to it for a little while.

If the community's general feedback is to keep it public, then we'll rediscuss it and maybe keep it public permanently. The goal is to develop the feature with everyone, not push an annoying feature.

 

Doesn't make sense at all, why would I have to find a weapon specialist just to repair my weapon? Why couldn't I do it at home, following a Youtube video and by roleplaying it because this is a roleplay server, correct? Are you going to have a line of gang rpers standing at ammunition waiting to have their guns repaired?

I am speaking about people who sell theirs, should be either declared otherwise IRS comes knocking. Like IRL in the US people have to declare their income and taxes to IRS, if something is off IRS comes knocking like that FBI open up joke.
