I think you both are so wrong on this... you got two sorts of heists, heists on like a bank or store where yea you know it's gona be dangerous and maybe yea you shoot a hostage or the cops.

But then compared when robbing a house most robbers just going in to steal a TV or some shit don't even bring a gun.

maybe not where you live but here in texas they do, they usually rob late at night with guns.  usually they robbed because they know there’s something valuable . anyways the illegal scene is dying and soon world will be the new sims.  illegal rpers now have options where to rp at. it’s obvious how one sided world is.

Illegal RP shouldn't be easy and stuff shouldn't be made to accommodate for illegal activities on an IC level. OOCly we definitely should make illegal RP as complex and realistic as possible, but not easy.

It's the same thing for breakins and property alarms. Although I think there should be a chance of the alarm failing to trigger, a way to turn it off or short circuit it, have people manually activate and deactivate it and so on, it shouldn't be easy.

Breaking into a property is already extremely easy, compared to real life. Besides the alarms. In a realistic situation, people would be home most of the time - here, if the owner is online they're likely not home and if they're offline, their character could be home but there's no one actually there, so you can go ahead and rob the place. There is also no way for people to spot someone breaking into a property (with a few exceptions), or see people through the windows etc. as most of the time, there is no one around.

Some balance has to be found, but if they make it so that alarms don't trigger or something, there will be literally no way to protect yourself against being robbed.

It always will be. If you think it can change, IFM is there to ensure it never will.

You want balance? Push for a complete removal of any Rules of Engagement. I guarantee people will mess with you less if they know you can just shoot them for looking at you funny.
