You have video games where you play as young animals killing and getting killed, as-well. Literal cartoons with two rabbit-like humans kissing each other. It's not that bad as people make it to be.

P.S. Not advocating bestiality, but, just saying, kids are exposed to this, every day.

Teens have contributed to a lot of good RP in the community of Paleto, same with adults and elderly characters.

Makes sense. I guess I just haven't seen enough good teen rp yet to really understand how important they are for a community's RP.

In the current state, it is safe to assume every teenage character is a gangster, so technically it is not even metagaming approach such character that way, because that's the only case where portraying underaged character is allowed. And you don't have to be a psychologist or PD profiler to tell a 13 y/o from the rest.

it would seriously hurt gang rp and development of characters but i see where people are coming from. lots of weird shit or goofy rp comes from all roles, but when the character is under 16 its especially visible

Don't ban characters below 16. Rather make sure that RPQM keeps an eye on minor characters and punishes them accordingly for improper character development. There are a lot of minor characters with proper development that bring a lot of RP into gang communities. Same as there are a lot of bad apples. Just because nobody punishes them doesn't mean that we have to ban all those characters.

And what's worse: Some staff members totally misunderstand the idea of "protecting children" by protecting players of child characters.

Who should be heavily sanctioned for questionable portrait of CHILDREN, not protected.

Why not have an application process for that, get the okay from the faction leader you want to rp with, and post an application to IFM. State your reasons etc. I think that would help alot too.
