To create an underage character you’d need to apply for it.

Application shouldn’t take ages to get reviewed and it should ask like background, purpose in RP, and all that.

Considering how long it takes for ck appeals, staff reports, player reports, etc can take to be answered, I don’t think that an additional burden should be added to the staff team in order to rp a basic character that’s essential to gang rp and development.

why are people saying rping 12 is absolutely vital to gang rp... gangs dont recruit children the way they used to. there's simply no need. gang banging nowadays is more of a choice than a need and most active gang bangers are either about to hit 18 or older than 18. you do not need to rp younger than 16 for any discernible reason. children are around gangs and they sometimes contribute via acting as lookouts or mules but most of it is related to the drug trade, which on GTA:W is beyond horrible.

restricting character's ages to 16+ will not "cripple gang RP" . only on gta:w have i seen that boring, uninspired "oh u from here?" rp. just pretend you known that person in passing and assume you've had some minor encounters in the past. this shit ab having to rp a young teen is stupid and leads to the army of child soldiers everybody mocks.

It's shameful to initiate a person into the set by the time that they are 18. Thus, instead of developing a character, you want every character to be hardened gang-bangers within the first month of RPing? Isn't that what were trying to prevent? The average gang-member gets recruited by the time that they are 16-17 and die by the time that they are 20. This would mean that each new character would have to be initiated into the set within a month of RPing, tops, to evade being shamed.

you absolutely don't need more than 2 months to be put on. it's not the mob and you're not being made. getting put on in a gang is only the start. i've never liked it when people treat it as if it's this massive event.

Let's raise the age to 16 for factions and 18 only for others then. Problem solved

No, just need more strict laws regarding youth, such as laws regarding them being placed on "house arrest" and having rp facilities for them, or something similar. There's a lot that can be done such as ankle monitors etc although the way youth are sentenced are the same as adults. As for the OOC issues, players easily can get banned for their actions that violate the server rules. Shouldn't be restricting players from roleplay who they want, rather embracing it and finding ways to make them work on the server in a way that makes everyone comfortable.
