Rule 6 - Removing under 16s

This is a horrible suggestion. It completely ruins the flow of gang RP.

This is a wonderful suggestion. Been preaching a 18+ Char server for a bit now. You know as soon as number below 18 shows in /examine something stupid is about to happen.

 

70 percent of such scenes I have been into have been horrible because it was a crime scene due to a kid popping off like a super villain.

 

dont even get me started on the cringy and creepy pickup lines. Ignore them? Can expect even more verbal abuse.

 

the problem with kid chars is that they ONLY can be in a gang faction to exist, so all kids are problematic from the start.

obviously cant have kids be played by any random.

 

18 minimal age would be perfect for me.

might be happy with a 16+ change as well.

 

just get the kids gone from IG world.

I vote for a HL2 approach, all kids are gone and only an adult population remains.

You have never RPed a gang banger, nor you do not know how gangs work irl, so why are you trying to pitch something that doesn’t make sense? Part of the gang activities is developing yourself from a youth to an older version of yourself. Starting the process at 18 kills the RP itself. You need to roleplay different generations of the gang so everybody has somebody to look up to.

If its anything like gangs in the UK, below 18 they act as drug mules and deal, in GTA they act as cop killers, it's frankly unrealistic as fuck and the excuse of gangRP will be destroyed is a joke. 

 

Gangs can still deal drugs and shoot people regardless of how old their characters are.

I don't need to know anything about gangRP to know that RPing kids is a joke on this server, and I have yet to see any good reasoning for keeping them.

Instead of completely banning underaged characters, maybe admins could implement a rule where children characters must have another person roleplaying with them as their parent/grandparent/older sibling/guardian/carer. And if the underaged characters do anything remotely stupid (sexual RP, fighting old characters, not roleplaying fear, basically not acting like their age, etc.) then that should be met with an immediate ban.

Another person must be /ACTIVELY/ roleplaying as their guardian, fully onboard with that.
