LSPD Graduation Includes Secretary of State Perez and Senator Reyes as Guests of Honor:

 

October 10th, 2021: This past Saturday, the tenth of October marked a new class of rookie LSPD officers taking to the streets. There were fifteen graduates from this class and the State Government would like them to know, we are wishing all of them luck in the line of duty.

The graduation ceremony opened with officer Damien Sharpe thanking everyone for being present as well as affirming his appreciation for all the current law enforcement that was present for the ceremony. After his short opening he turned the podium over to Chief of Police Branch Goodwater. 

Chief Goodwater congratulated the new officers on their hard work, dedication, tenacity, and use of team work that had allowed the recruits to make it to graduation. Chief Goodwater made sure that the new officers were aware of the value of teamwork in the LSPD as he stated it was the backbone of the department. A brotherhood and sisterhood. Chief Goodwater said he was honored to be there as the graduates made the official transition from civilian to an officer of the police department. He prayed that each of them would be safe in the line of duty and that God would watch over them. After the Chief of Police addressed the graduates, Senator Valeria Reyes was given the podium to do the same.

After Senator Reyes' speech the graduates were called one by one across the stage to receive their badges. Once again the state government wishes the new officers the best and safety while protecting and serving the city of Los Santos.
