Inked Posted September 17, 2021 Share Posted September 17, 2021 Short description: Turn imgur/media links in text conversations into that media if its a direct link. Detailed description: Currently if you send pictures to someone in a text, it just sends the link to the image and the recipient has to try to get that link to see whatever that image was. Often times it's just easier to * * it and send the actual image over discord or the forums. This suggestion is to have imgur links parsed automatically like the forums and a lot of other platforms do, and replace the link with the image within the text window. If you hover over the image on the CEF with your mouse, it'd pop out with a significantly larger UX allowing you to see the image in larger detail. It's something you've probably seen other RP communities have adopted. Commands to add: None Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server? It'd simply be more immersive and require players to tab out less. Now days most players have some form of screen snipping tool (Gyazo, Lightshot, ShareX, etc) for quickly grabbing and uploading screen grabs for IC pictures. Plus simply camera screenshots through the camera script. This would be a great way to keep IC media transfer in-game rather than having to use discord / forums. It'd be a faster way to share in-character media in-game as well, especially if players were to start making use of things like ShareX workflows. Additional information: 6 Link to comment

EDIT: It would be nice if it could support discord image links too, since I normally upload screenshots to a private discord server instead of imgur.
