This is not really true though. You can roleplay properly and still earn a lot of money. That money has to come from somewhere. Its mostly funneled into the economy through paychecks. Reduce those, and you automatically reduce the amount of characters that can afford expensive sports cars and are able to offer >$3 million for a Mirror Park house. Link to comment
Daquan Kingston
The server lacks proper taxation on wealth. Nobody needs more than 500k assets for basic RP, so at that point they should implement a tax % that makes sure you lose money instead of making money from the paychecks that you get hourly for nothing. For example a person with 500k assets should lose 700$ as tax, but someone with 1,000,000 assets should lose 1,400$ (they still get the hourly paycheck so they only go minus 700$) and then you see those AFK-tree millionaires either sweating for their revenue, or stop RPing things that don’t make sense. stringer
Whilst a lot of people have tons of money, I've seen only a handful of people who can actually properly roleplay being wealthy. Link to comment

Incredibly shit idea, this will just punish active people who actually play and will not resolve the problem at all, it's just a dirty bandaid. 1 Link to comment

It would certainly be a large improvement over what we have now. Link to comment

This is already in the server. Millionaires already lose money on hourly paychecks due to overall assets. If yall stepped up your sigma grindsets you would have this happening to you already. 2 Link to comment
Mitch
When I used to co own a gun store, we made millions, literally millions, there's no large taxes we gotta pay, we just made that money and paid like 50k for supplies every now and then, we didn't hire people, no need to split profits. The system is broken and in need of desperate fixing. 1 minute ago, Sush said: This is already in the server. Millionaires already lose money on hourly paychecks due to overall assets. Illusory
It's like real life though where the people who are truly rich don't flaunt it everywhere. Like as someone who has RPed a LEO for 2 years now on this server there's having money and then there's roleplaying money. After 2 years of weekly government paychecks my LEO character has amassed roughly 5.2 mill in just police paychecks but the character isn't super rich ICly. Just because you have a large number in the bank doesn't mean that you're allowed to roleplay a rich person. For example, it wouldn't make sense for my law enforcement character to own a Pariah even though I OOCly have the money for a fleet of them. It all boils down to RP quality either way. I also never appreciate the 'nobody needs' arguments as if you really want to get down to it nobody needs anything but food, water, and shelter; and arguments like that are a tool to force your personal opinion on other people under the guise of 'common sense' when in reality it's just an opinion. I should also add that RPQM reports exist for homeless people with supercars, etc. It isn't my job to tell people what to roleplay nor should it be. Link to comment
Timzii
Money is easy to earn. If you buy too many stuff you get RPQM'd, there's no taxes or utility you gotta pay. Besides having vehicles and properties, you can't spend money on anything else which leaves people with excessive amount of money sitting in their bank. Link to comment
