Amendment to how business robberies are being handled.

i must say for a server that takes remaining in character very seriously, there's a lot of overt regulation even down to "what is your character backstory" over trying to rob a 24/7

To be completely honest, you don't have to say everything you've done in your life, just list off the highlights like mine when I did my first burglary. "Ex-gangbanger turned solo-ish criminal, recently started a small criminal relationship with Blah blah, he asked me to do this" Done. It's to stop nine to five civilians getting bored and deciding to rob a random ass house.

So I'll try to clarify some light onto this topic the best that I can. I'll start with mentioning that I personally am aware of the long wait times for these types of robberies, but I certainly don't think the staff are to blame, what it falls down to, is the high amount of reports daily especially during peak times. I'll drop some information below about how robberies work;

"Large and sophisticated business robberies must be approved by IFM."
This means that once accepted on the requests board and when the admins are able to see it along with its approval, any admin can take the /report request to rob the business so long as they're not too busy, which in a lot of cases, they are. The best thing you could do here is to get your robbery request approved and also mention that its been approved in your /report.

"You may use /breakin to rob any property. /breakin is accepted by administrators only if they have the time for it as it requires 20 minutes of active monitoring, which might be difficult to do during peak hours."
Usually used when robbing a property and not a business, doesn't require IFM permissions and only an admins approval following supervision.

"Smaller and "in the moment" robberies can be conducted without an approved IFM request. Admin permission and supervision is still required for these, /report to get it. Example: Robbing an open 24/7."
This one is rather self explanatory, used for more petty robberies rather than an organized hit on a place.

I understand that having to wait a long time for a response can be frustrating for illegal rpers, at the same time, I'm glad that business robberies don't happen too often otherwise they wouldn't be as special when it comes to that type of rp. It's also worth mentioning that not every admin plays much illegal, or is a trial admin, which could lead to them not feeling comfortable to take up the request. Personally, I don't think much needs to change regarding how this system works, there could be adaptations developed perhaps and the server rules do hint that something is in the works ("
If you just want to roleplay a regular property robbery without stealing real items, you may use /robprop [In development]"which could be nice for character development. Perhaps what could change, is receiving a faster response on whether or not admins are able to take on your robbery request at that time, though, I'm not sure what kind of system would fall into place for that.

Nice, glad to hear from someone on staff.

Yeah, I get it, there are loads of reports IG and on forums which bog down admins really quickly.

Interestingly, now I have a different issue, the rules that are up there are extremely vague, what would fall under a "sophisticated business robbery"?

Is it how common they happen in real life, the amount of planning, the risk or multiple factors?

What's an "in the moment" robbery, what are the requirements for that? Here's a funny story, we couldn't rob a place that technically was open because of the way the script works, the owner was still getting paid for any alcohol they sell, and at the same time we couldn't get an approval because it was in a rule limbo, both open and closed at the same time.

The vagueness of these rules actually hinders efficiency of you guys and it's just because the rules can be interpreted differently by each and every one of you, unless of course you guys already have a ruling on what's what.

Besides, I absolutely agree that they aren't happening more often, I'm actually glad. Here's my gripe though, going through the same process for trying to rob a 24/7, a liquor store, a cigarette shop, a casino, a bank, an IMEX facility is imho, unnecessary.

Here's the deal though, if the system was to change, we still would have to wait, and I'm genuinely fine with that. But afaik, being able to deal with most issues IG through staff members, is far more superior than having to go to forums to solve your issues. Sadly though, I don't know how to solve this problem, besides throwing more admins at it, I have no idea.

Besides, Skante is right, IFM IS overburdened with work, they have one of the smallest teams along with unproportionally high workload for their size, de-loading them from this one issue can be something that improves quality of life for the server. I'd much rather prefer that IFM dedicates itself to creating a realistic criminal environment on this server than just get bogged down with requests to rob a closed 24/7 or a liquor store. These requests take time to process and they most definitely take the light away from robberies that are so in depth, that take insane hours to plan and roleplay out that it's just a shame.

So after five hours of waiting in game doing absolutely fuck all, we were told by IFM that any admin could've approved what we intended on doing.

And once again, two hours of once again of simply waiting on an admin to spectate us roleplaying our robbery tonight, no one once again replied so we gave up.

3/5 admins on duty at one time, 13 off duty, what is exactly stopping us from being spectated? It would only be five, ten minutes...

Bottom line, it would be great to be able to have testers be able to spectate or better yet. Get approval from an admin on the forum, or Discord and shadowplay and screenshot everything to the point where it would be exactly the same as spectating ingame. Items & money would be given after looking over the roleplay.
