Recently rules changed and Rule 19 is a thing, so things that were not addressed on LSRP where weird people ERP'd with Minors is not going to happen here. Moreover, it is strongly frowned upon if that's all you do here. There are a few players who had administrative action taken against them for such behavior.

for some reason ERP is something a lot of people like to do. A mixture of Sims and Second Life into a role play server on GTA. I’ve even seen suggestions been made to get specific animations implented to make it more realistic. I have never been a fan of the actual in depth ERP. I do like to visit a club or a party w/e but the ERP here on World is 500% what it ever was on LSRP. The majority of ex LSRP players probably remember what happened to Krisk and how far he took it. The server should take these people in protection and although it is completely uncontrollable to see how old someone is behind their PC when a specific RP is being created and it is almost impossible to ban out “ ERP “ im just saying that in my opinion I hope to see the server evolve from the classic ERP and focus more on the actual role play the server has to offer without these ridiculous requests for sex animations and the 100s of escort advertisements we see every day.

What Krisk did should have been brought up in court not only permanent ban from the community.

Out of my own 6 months experience here on World the majority is legal and focused on ERP

I seriously do not understand this criticism and it shouldn't be a surprise that it comes from disgruntled ex-LSRP players. You do realize that e-sex was a prominent thing on LSRP too, right? Aside from the Krisk situation, e-sex was an accepted part of LSRP. You had players making prostitute characters for the sake of farming money, people would plaster screenshots of e-sex all over the Factions Forum, some people had reputations for partaking in nothing but e-sex and there were even some people who met up IRL after roleplaying relationships between characters. GTA World is not an exception to this rule, and nor is it special in this regard. This bullshit happens across multiple GTA RP servers that span SAMP, MTA and RageMP.

I've also been here for close to 12 months and haven't seen it as being nearly important as people allege it is. If someone doesn't like a particular way of roleplaying, then don't participate. Avoid the shitbag players. Easy as.

Pulling out a few words from a 200+ words post to quote out one part, nice one. I think you also seen I mentioned there is nothing wrong with it and the truth be told the e-sex on LSRP wasn’t as much as it is on here. With the dating site it only gets promoted to engage in it and the point I tried to make was that you don’t know the age of specific people playing this game and what they are engaging themselves in. Re-read my previous post and you will see I am not calling for a ban on ERP, I am just pointing out what I noticed in my first 6+ months here.

LS-RP was pretty boring,

Conflict inbound. I agree though, in "heavy RP" RCRP was really more my kind of server.

Seems like the right moment to ask - has there been some kind of massive influx of Second Life players on this server in the last few years (2019/2020)? It's something that's been in the back of my mind since I started playing again and interacted with all kinds of characters through taxiing, the atmosphere is very different compared to 2018, the average /attributes has changed a lot too.

I should clarify this isn't some kind of attack or negative comment, just a catch up, out of the loop type question.

RC-RP was definitely more realistic, smooth, and immersive in comparison. Each time I logged in to LS-RP I just seem to see people roleplaying their gun fights via /me, or arguing about something on /b.

The times I've been on RC-RP were great, because it just felt like an alive server where people's OOC intentions and personalities didn't seep into the game one way or another.

Not sure if you got this while you weren't on this server, but I've yet to see a single player from Second Life in the 10 000+ people I talked to in 4 years here.

Hi 🙂 I played it, but wasn't exactly what I was gunning for, so I ended up here. People really do mistake Second Life for some casual chat room game huh?

It is mostly about creating your own space, which can be anything from vampire gothic castle to high end flashy apartment. While indeed many people do just hang around and chat there, it is not really about that 🙂 And by no means it does emulate real life, which I am kinda trying to roleplay here. Those mundane things we all do in real life, just spiced up a bit with say...better job, being different gender, having tattoos or a nice car. It's called GTA World, because you can be all that and then some, including guns and drugs too.

I joined LSRP in December 2009 and had my fair share of experience, so let's see...

  • Legal roleplay, so many more opportunities here. I've always enjoyed portraying fully legal characters (preferably having zero involvement with guns too, except for two characters) and I felt quite limited on LSRP. For a time, I did my best to promote it, but ehhh.
  • The average player, seems to be a lot nicer and more level-headed here.
  • Same point above, goes to staff too. I'm pretty sure every single one of us has at least a few unfortunate experiences or grievances with LSRP's staff.
  • And of course, administration itself. I have so many negative adjectives to associate with LSRP's admin team that I fear I would be unwelcome here...

I honestly didn't intend to leave the server, especially after having spent so much time in there, until otter came up with the brilliant idea to dissolve the city government. It was the nail in the coffin for me. I loved that faction and invested so much of my time into it, and seeing it get taken away because a developer said so, really broke my heart and made me lose my patience, my sympathy and loyalty to the server.

It was very, very good, and very satisfying to invest my time into, while it lasted. But in its later years, the server was a mere shadow of its former glory. And now, it is apparently dead with 30~ players. I'm not sorry at all. A well deserved turn of events. It seems they finally ran out of players to mistreat, ban or threaten with banning. To all our fortune, the successor is even better than the predecessor.
