Change the property leasing application questions

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!

So at the moment, there are 5 questions in the property leasing system.

  • Why do you want to lease this property? (250 words minimum)

  • What are your plans if you get accepted?

  • What experience do you have?

  • How often are you planning to open the property?

  • Do you have a criminal record? (if yes, explain)

However, what is the exact difference between Question 1 and 2? Because if you answer the first question correctly, you automaticly have answered question two. Now, you could copy and paste the part in question 1 that applies to question 2, but in my opinion, the first question makes the second question obsolete.

What I also notice is how the whole application system is based on basicly leasing a business, and that the questions are specificly designed to apply for active business leases. Question 3 and 4 for exemple, are completely unneccesary when you plan to lease a plain storage unit. Do I need business experience to lease a storage unit? No. Do I plan to open it at all to the public? 99% chances are not.

My suggestions is to have questions specific to properties

Each property up for lease would be categorized in these categories:

  1. Mechanic Garages
  2. Restaurant/Bar
  3. Retail
  4. Entertainment & Wellness
  5. Office Space
  6. Misc

Each of these categories would have their own set of questions. This will make the process more streamlined and possibly lead to a more efficient and faster processing of applications, as the questions apply more specificly to each business type.
