If you know you fucked up, ignoring the report entirely will just give you a harsher punishment. Admitting your fault and recognizing it will grant you more leniency in regards to punishments, as has been demonstrated by administrators on numerous occasions. Ignoring the report does nothing but give off the impression that you simply don't care. I've seen people get firm warnings over rather bad rulebreaks (DM, PG, etc etc) simply because they admitted fault, recognized their mistake and showed remorse for it when reported. Attitude and behavior towards the aftermath of your mistakes is nearly always the key factor in what punishment you receive. Edited July 16, 2021 by PeopleKind 2 Link to comment
RoadTrain_
Perhaps add the ability for admins to 'flag' the reported player's MA and any time they log into the server they will be notified that they have an outstanding report. Then anyone who doesn't show up can be safely considered to be actively ignoring the report. Link to comment

Admins can already add notes to accounts which players will see when they log in, this is already done often. Link to comment
LG
Afaik, they get 48 hours to respond, if not a decision is made based on the evidence provided. Link to comment
yag tnera spart
Reports already take too long to be handled, if people get reported and banned till they explain themselves the userbase is gonna drop by a lot. I don't see this working on GTAW imo. Edited July 16, 2021 by roymar typo Link to comment
OneEightSeven
Nah, let's fuck shit up, GTA:W is classed as a high-end and heavy roleplay server, it should be a community who can explain their own actions, if you can't explain it, don't do it. Link to comment

Well seeing as currently there's a report ongoing that is constantly getting additional 48 hours despite the obvious rulebreaks.... 1 Link to comment

Jax
Don't care if it's blatant rule breaking, we give everyone 48h and a fair chance to respond to the report. No one is getting special treatment, sometimes it feels like people get too angry and just want to see someone get punished. But punishing is not the main thing we aim for, we aim to teach people, help them understand what they did wrong and that they don't repeat that behavior. 1 Link to comment
