You're right, they were stripped and then beat to a bloody pulp. Turns out the current meta is that if you beat your victim unconscious, they can't notify the authorities. Broken legs are considered a bonus.

 

On one occasion, it happened because my character offered her wallet and phone over "too soon".

Good luck. We're not allowed to defend ourselves, we're not afforded the protections that come naturally in any modern city... The place is going to be a ghost town. What's worse is that it's a singularity event - the less people go outside, the less people can justify going outside. Rampant crime is going to perpetuate that harsh cycle.

With the current crime epidemic, it's only a matter of time before those are the only civilian roleplayers left. It's no mystery that we haven't been breaking server pop records ever since crime was allowed to happen freely anywhere.
