Good point. Just claiming that, in the end, it's Grand Theft Auto. This isn't James Bond 007 or an average "shooter" etc... it's a gruesome game that has detailed torture and tons of extremely mature content that's intended for mature adults. Under-aged people have access to the game, but doesn't stop it from having such detailed obscene scenes. It's at the discretion of the parents, not the manufacturer of the game.

I'm just seeing a trend, now, where people are now trying to prohibit legitimate escort ads and strip-clubs because there's "an underaged audience".

Like I've said, I've never engaged in rape R.P.... but, it just seems very out of touch with reality that you have these prostitutes never fearing the possibility of being sexually assaulted etc... realism-wise. Even if it were to be a "Fade to Black" scenario. You can R.P. having a 14 year old massacred on the street, and people that undergo PTSD for THOSE reasons have to cope with it. Torture? That's permitted. But, Rape, which is sexualized torture? No permitted. Still seems like a double-standard, to me.

I can R.P. yanking out a man's teeth or cutting off a finger and all of these other gruesome scenes. I can R.P. dissolving a body in acid etc... but, the other one is not permitted. Just doesn't make sense.

It makes perfect sense.

It’s much easier to cope OOCly with torture roleplay and if you can’t then you can just say no to that in an OOC medium.

Having a random man stick his cock in you without your consent isn’t roleplay that anyone wants to do unless they have a rape fetish.

damn some astronomically bad takes right here. not sure why you're defending rape rp so hard if you've never done it. only seen one other person go this hard for defending it

Just addressing the double-standard on a Rated-M game that is as gruesome as this one.

Water-boarding, yanking out teeth, chopping off arms, decapitating bodies into miniature pieces before dissolving them in acid, and then scattering them all over the city is acceptable. But, the other, isn't, simply because it's sexualized.

If you can't seem to understand the double-standard with that, then there's a problem.

I only mentioned homicide because, in reality, if ANY OF YOU have seen a man get shot to death, in front of them, then you'd understand that it's one and the same. I'm not talking about witnessing it, online, but directly in front of you. Live experience. Can't say "rape" is any less or more worst than that. They're equally as traumatizing.

I have not seen a man shot right next to me. But I have attended to alleged rape as part of building security where it happened. The girl ended her life few weeks later. The guy ofc roamed free for a while, until girl's family members got to him. He still lives, but without legs.

yeah well the game itself also doesn't portray rape and like others have said we have under 18 players too which won't change ever really. There absolutely is a difference too. People can say no to torture while back when I was an admin I saw people pressuring people into doing rape rp even when they weren't comfortable to it.

Stop digging yourself a hole man and get off the thread before you hit the other side of the world

I've knocked out rapists, in the real world. What's your point? I'm addressing the double-standards, here. The actual game, itself, has torture in gruesome detail. Why are people purchasing this game if they can't handle something as traumatic as that?

Never engaged in rape R.P., but I'm addressing the double-standards and contradiction, here.

Let me put it this way... lot of people are claiming that rape and murder have different aspects to it. But, if you've never seen a 14 year-old's dead body in the real world, in person, then it's challenging to understand that it's just as traumatizing.

It's still a Rate-M game, in the end, and it exists. I'm not even arguing that homicide should be banned, but there's a major contradiction in people's beliefs if one is acceptable but the other isn't.

Much easier to cope OOCly? One's torture and the other's sexualized torture. Only difference involves sexual organs. It's still the same act, in the end, with consequences that traumatizes the victim and can even traumatize the suspect.

can we get back to the main topic instead of digging ourselves into holes so much pls, this went from a serious topic to just derail city real quick.

Alright, let's move on.

EDIT: I'm just big on "realism".
