Amendment to Rule 17 in regards to sexual advertisements

Recommended Posts

Just to add onto this, probably not everyone is going to respond like they have responded to the discussion that pretty much covers the same issues as raised in this suggestion (ref. link below). There are a couple good points made throughout that discussion as well.

In the real world, you can drive down a freeway in America and see billboards that are advertising for sex shops and fully nude gentleman's clubs, so it's not unrealistic at all for there to be advertisements for these types of things. Maybe you're a European and don't know any better. However, the people that participate in this kind of activity in-game or pretend to be women should be permanently banned from the game and community.

Not my issue your state is that poor and decrepit that all the billboard spaces go to sex shops.

I've seen them whilst travelling through Eastern Europe on holiday, guess those states are on par with them.

man dont expose alabama like that man, they have a pretty good uh... prison industrial complex industry too

but yes this is mostly kinda true, poorer areas have more sex shop adverts, but in places like Los Angela's or wealthy cities in general? No fucking way could they afford advertisements on billboards.

Pretty much. Comparing Downtown LA to the sticks in Maine for billboard space is like comparing a supercar to a soccer mom van.

I run an adult store, and I always make sure to write up adverts that are more on the funnier side of things than outright advertising things, like "HOLEWRECKER XXL BAD DRAGON FOR SALE, GET THEM NOW".

One of our ads for example says: ❤️ Our prices will have you screaming for more. Well, not JUST our prices. - ❤️

It's coy, it's cheeky, but if you think it's out of the line, I'm definitely open to hear you out regarding how we should handle advertising our store.

I usually reference things from pop culture and give them a bit of an adult twist. I also wouldn't be opposed to be able to tick a 'NSFW AD' checkbox.

However, I totally agree in regards to the "looking for a job in the porn industry", "young, white, blonde escort for hire" adverts, those shouldn't pop up this often.
