Considering the mayhem that his happened in the United States over the last year I think violent protests are probably an accurate representation and should not be stopped unless people are trolling or breaking server rules.

This. People are missing out on good roleplay because of the restrictions.

No issues with the protest and no issues with lying about IC things to get people to join your cause but the lying on the forums about it is ridiculous.

Epps killed a Deputy. It was caught on dashcam, plain as day. Epps was later running from Deputies and while running (whether a bug or not), he had a weapon in his hand (there's evidence that can be provided). That's why he was shot. Again, I've got no issue with people misrepresenting it IC but to come into this thread and lie about it is ridiculous.

Lol, I don’t where you got this. I didn’t lie about it once OOCly I agreed with it. But I’m saying, ICly the only thing passed around was a 15 year old gunned down by 39 deputies,

Like I said, no one came in this thread and complained about the cause leading up to this. No one even joined anything off the forums like you said, it was all ICly.

FB, IG posters and Etc.

If I was talking about you, I would have quoted you. I'm talking about others in here saying how Epps was unarmed, etc.

be thankful realism takes a step back for your fun to fill the gap. if we were endlessly realistic on here, your complaints would be entirely different.

One big part of the entire orderall with a crime rate higher than the worst places around world. There would be way harsher actions by Law Enforcement all the way to martial law and National Guard roaming the streets. A "mostly peaceful' protest where people "attack" a police station? There would be severe consequences all across the board for the weeks and months to follow. Now you can look at that as a good or bad thing, but those are the times realism is sacrificed for the sake of being balanced and "balanced", allowing for a very big leaniancy to any and all crime in which people frequently test out the possible limits both as characters with the present police force as well as players behind the screen with the admin team.

Another big problem with those protests, and it has been proven in the past (e.g. protest in front the courts at Little Seoul) that people are OOCly motivated to agitate protests. Throwaway secondary characters with no relations, background or similar for the sole purpose to incite violence, break server rules or generally messing around. This issue on an in-character level with people motivated to act as agitator for various reasons? No problem at all as this is very common IRL - throw rocks at cops for your political beliefs, to get steam off, out of boredom, etc.

Overall, protests need way stricter admin supervision. Rulebreakers and throwaway characters need to be cut down - anything else that happens solely based on in-character actions? Let it play out but bare in mind the consequences and echo off of it that can and should occur. May it be a station unable to be used or police presence shaking up your neighbourhood. Bring in National Guard, even, if it comes to it - can't have the cake and eat it.

Always love these threads because you can clearly see the gap between players who play an in-depth realistic interpretation of an LEO and the players who're here to play the SAVIOR OF THE CITY AND DESTROYER OF CRIME, seemingly tilted OOC when they can't play the heroes of the community and things don't go their way. Almost ironic they'd make a decent officer OOC with that thought process.

Shoutout @lambchops, @Jonesyand the LSSD, the real reason the 4th amendment's quaking in it's boots.
