BY DENNIS SIDWELL

Los Santos, SA - On the 3rd of June, 2021, at 7 pm, The Rockford Dome hosted a MMA fight night consisted of six fighters in top performance, organized by Bellicose MMA. The audience was cheering for their favourite fighters, with barely any space left out for spectators, as MMA fans occupied The Rockford Dome. The fight of the night was between Danny Okimoto and Felix Stone, after Mikheil Aleksidze suddenly got ill before the fight.

The Fight Night started with Men's Undercard Leo Fang versus Garbon Meqvabishvili. Mr. Meqvabishvili won the first, while Mr. Fang won the second and third round. It proceed with Women's Undercard Ziggy versus Anna Smith, with a final result of 1-2.

The atmosphere during the match of the night was tense. Fans were cheering for Mr. Okimoto and Mr. Stone. No one could predict the result, until the very end of the match. And then, all of sudden, Okimoto threw the final punch and left the cage as the winner of the fight night, with a final result of 2-0.

Beyond that, there was an announcement in the brief intermission, about the new reworks of Bellicose MMA with the help of several gyms around the city to secure bigger prizes, rules, regulations and fairness and best means of competition in the pro circuit of Los Santos, Bellicose MMA's representative Giovanni Delvecchio told the LSNN.

The LSNN team conducted an interview with the winner Danny Okimoto and his manager Takiji Okita, who is also the President of the Japanese American Association (JAA). This is the written version of the interview which was held on air, in the LSNN studio.

Dennis Sidwell: Welcome in the studio, gentlemen! It's a pleasure to talk to you two on air.

Danny Okimoto: Pleasure to be here.

Takiji Okita: It's an honor, Mister Sidwell. It's fantastic that my nephew and I have the opportunity to be here tonight. I'd like to give a big shout out to Bellicose for starring my client here in tonight's main event. As well as the JAA, the Japanese American Association.

Dennis Sidwell: Your nephew!? I didn't know this information, even though us journalists, we know everything! We will get to that in a minute, but allow me to ask, Danny, how are you feeling after the huge win that you've achieved? Was it hard in the cage? Tell us the interesting details from the match, what goes through the head of one MMA fighter while in the cage, eye to eye with the "enemy"?

Danny Okimoto: Ah it was a real breeze, shoutout to my man Gio for supporting me throughout my career. It's a shame, was supposed to be my title fight but stuff happens. Anyways, when you're in there it's you or him and instincts and practice takes over you know?

Dennis Sidwell: So, help me understand. You get in the ring, you hear the audience cheering, having different expectations of you, does it get stressful, or do you enter the cage on a relaxed way, focused only on the enemy? Do you "shut off"? Like in poker, all in, it has to be a win, or nothing?

Danny Okimoto: Well it's hard to say, you feel the anxiety, the stress, your heart beating, but it's all nerves and it all calms down when you're in there, all you can focus on is trying to drop your opponent. All or nothing, as you said.

Dennis Sidwell: Manager Okita. On one hand, it's your nephew in the ring, on another hand, you're hoping that he will win, no matter what. How do you balance these two things? What goes through your head? Is it easier down there on the bench, or you're watching the match, feeling like if you're in the cage yourself?

Takiji Okita: Well, Dennis, that's an interesting way to put it. I'd have to say it's hard not to view it as if I myself was the one in the ring. The second hand adrenaline, you know, it's almost like some sort of a high. Surely, though, I'm not as on edge as his mother, Chi-Chi probably is watching from home. With this one, though? There's never a doubt in my mind that he'll pull through and take the win. He is talented. Even Conor McGregor would be scared of him.

Dennis Sidwell: I think I just got my title for this article. "McGregor would be scared of him"! But hey, that's the way of MMA, yeah!? Mister Okita, I'm sure that the audience wants to know more about his scores and a bit of a background. I purposely left it out of the introduction, because it's always more interesting when it comes from the guests themselves. Tell us, how did it all start? Furthermore, where do you expect his MMA career to go to? What are your plans for him? Danny, what are your plans for yourself?

Takiji Okita: Well, this one right here? He's been a fighter since always. Unfortunately due to a terrible accident on the opposing fighters end, he didn't get his shot at the title fight, the belt. I'll tell you what, though. There's a reason I called out McGregor in my last set of words. This career of his? It isn't stopping any time soon, and it definitely isn't ending with Bellicose. You hear that, Dana? We are coming for you.

Dennis Sidwell: Danny, what's next? Is there another match planned soon for you? And you know what else I'm sure the audience is curious about? What made you fall in love with MMA? Why MMA, of all sports?

Danny Okimoto: Ah I'll have to hit up my main man Gio for that, we'll see what happens. Hopefully I'm not far from getting the belt, that's all I'm after, being the best. As Mr. Okita stated, I've always been trouble, he just put me to good use. I'm lucky to have all these people around that believed in me. Ah... all my guys in Little Tokyo, the guys at Sweathouse, my guys up the street, you know who you are.

Dennis Sidwell: You know what I haven't asked you, Danny? I haven't asked you, who is Danny Okimoto privately, away from the sports world? What do you do in your free time, what are your hobbies? And if you tell me that MMA is your hobby, I'll have to challenge you for a MMA match. I'm sure I'd win...

Danny Okimoto: Well, I go the gym, keep a strict regiment, you know when you're trying to be a professional you have to do it almost full-time... Come around sometime and we'll go a few... And when I'm not fighting I'm eating some good food at Shogun Sushi & Grill or having a nice sauna at Tanuki's Bathhouse. Oh and get my gas at the Little Seoul LTD.

Dennis Sidwell: He's constantly ready for a match, Mister Okita. I think I need to get out of the studio.

Takiji Okita: Just say the word and I'll escort you out of here, Dennis.

Dennis Sidwell: Mister Okita, I have the pleasure to know you from another event, I've met you at a food night event organized by the Japanese American Association. You're the head of it. You gave a brief statement for the LSNN team back then. What's your future plans, can we expect another event of such a social nature?

Takiji Okita: Actually, Dennis, it's funny you bring that up. This hasn't been made too public just yet, you know, but on behalf of the JAA and our other partners? I'll go ahead and fill you and our listeners in tonight. We're pleased to announce that an Asian night market of similar nature will be springing up soon. You'll be seeing a monthly, perhaps bi monthly gathering of all sorts of beautiful locally sourced businesses.

Dennis Sidwell: Thank you for the exclusive! And the final question goes for the star of the night, the fighter himself, ah? You've mentioned that Bellicose MMA has made you, together with your manager here, Mister Okita, of course. How do you comment this statement... IFC President Artur Zacharian: "My love for MMA was the main reason for us to found the IFC; You can expect violence, competition, drama and entertaining fights; Bellicose MMA doesn't even have weight-ins or rankings"?

Danny Okimoto: While I agree Bellicose has stuff to improve on, I'd rather not be with another league. My opinion is that Bellicose has the best fighters... I'd happily fight their best fighter on an event between the two, and I know I'll still be a favorite.

Dennis Sidwell: Danny, Mister Okita, thank you both for coming to the LSNN studio tonight. It has been a pleasure talking to you on air.

Danny Okimoto: Our pleasure.

Takiji Okita: The pleasure has been ours, Dennis. Enjoy your evening.
