What are your thoughts on the servers casino/gambling roleplay?

I have to say it's been very dull and it hasn't changed. It's basically an OOC Gambling tool. Last time I was playing, some guy kept saying "Can we go faster?" and the likes of that over and over when I tried to RP properly while betting on blackjack and it was really annoying too, as each hand that took more than 5 seconds to ready up and bet, he would be whining to go faster.

This is not a script issue at its core since it can be fixed if people started reporting people who didn't RP at all while gambling, or admins just dishing out punishments to them in masses so that the others will learn.

Tables need to have regulated stakes ( max buy-in ), bugs need to be fixed.

it IS roleplay, you just can't reasonable expect people to emote every Check, a hand would take 10 min.

I've seen people roleplay to the point where after we left a gang came to beat up one of the table players because he talked shit during the game. I think 3 people got PKed that scene. All because some dude was going ALL IN every hand.

It's like a rich man's fishing script 😅

Still weird, people don't have to roleplay in casinos, and fishing but the other jobs you do have to. Playing poker is basically a job if you're half decent at it. Should be forced to roleplay everywhere.

Reading all these comments, I'm not sure how many of you have been to an actual casino to feel the atmosphere. It's quiet, calm, and everyone focuses on their game, not a lot of interactions going on. Sure, I agree, it could always be improved but I think you guys are making it seem far worse than it actually is.

The truth is, the scripts for the games are so automatic that no interactions are even necessary. A step towards improvement of the RP in casinos would be to re-master the game scripts, especially for poker since there is no dealer necessary, which I think is an important thing to have.
