1. ABOUT

The San Andreas Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, LLC (SAASCAR) is an American auto racing sanctioning and operating company that was created to regulate, host and introduce a brand new plataform for racing series to Los Santos. Stock Car racing is a famous motorsport division known through the entire United States of America and one of the most watched sports in the country with the NASCAR series. The SAASCAR is privately owned by Peretti Investments LCC and is running through sponsorship and personal funds without any type of help from other entities or government.


The main goal of the association is to build a safe and regulated plataform where a wide variety of racing series can take place inside San Andreas. Currently, SAASCAR main event is called the Regional Championship, a spec racing series mainly focused on oval tracks.


2. DRIVERS REGISTRATION

The racing license is the first step for a driver to join the SAASCAR league, without this document he is not allowed to join any race weekend nor participate in any official testing days. To accquire this license, the driver must:

    1. Be more than 18 years old.

    2. Have a clean fine record. (all fines must be paid before accquiring the license).

    3. Have been passed the SAASCAR license exam.

    4. Be considered fit and well to drive a racing car following the FIA regulations. ((RPed medical exams))

3. TEAMS REGISTRATION

To be registered into SAASCAR the team represented by the owner must fill a form with all the information related to his team, where SAASCAR Officials will check if the team has enough structure and funding to be able to race in the series. Therefore, the mandatory minimal structure for a racing team to register in SAASCAR is:

    1. Own or lease at least one of the mandatory vehicles for the Regional Championship season.

    2. Appropriate logistics to bring the cars and racing gear to the track. (RV’s and trucks for hospitality and other vehicles are optional) ((own or lease a flatbed/towtruck or pay/ask someone to bring it for you - it's not allowed to drive the race car to the track since they are not road leagal)).

   3.  Hire at least three mechanics to work on their cars during pit stops and other repairs.

   4. One racing engineer or manager to talk directly to their drivers via radio.

   5. Formal address of the Team’s HQ.

   6. Current Team roster of employees and drivers.

4. SAASCAR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Regional Championship is the main event for the SAASCAR series, in a series with the capacity of accepting 32 drivers and 16 teams, everyone will compete for the final season trophy and a good amount of cash that is collected through all the races and sponsors. The Championship consists of two sprint race events and two main events with longer races.

 

4.1 THE CAR

The vehicle chosen for the Season One of the SAASCAR Regional Championship was the Bravado Gauntlet, modified to support a fair and safe racing series where the driving skill will be taken into account and not the car. This type of competition can leave the championship unpredictable since every driver will have the same chances to score the best times on track and be the faster driver on the race.


4.2 RACE DAY FORMAT

PRACTICE SESSION
This Session will be held before the Fast 16 qualify begins, where drivers can test setups, check times and do practice for the race.


FAST 16 QUALIFY
SAASCAR has the capacity of hosting an event with 32 licensed drivers, but only 16 out of these drivers is allowed to qualify and race on the main event. Driver is allowed to make two warm up laps and then three timed laps around the circuit. The fastest timed lap is taken into consideration to join the Fast 16.


QUALIFY
This qualify session decides the starting grid order, where drivers again are out on track for two warm up laps and three timed laps at the end where the fastest time is going to be taken into consideration to form the grid for the rae.


RACE
The race is going to be held after the qualify session with a pace-car rolling start. It's important to be qualified for the Fast 16 since every driver from the race is going to score points using the following scoring system:

20-17-15-14-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

At the end of the season, the driver with the most points will be crowned as the Regional Champion.

SAASCAR governing body is looking for the employees and staff members to help hosting the racing events. The available positions are:

1. Track Marshalls;

2. Race Officials;

3. Media Management;

4. Accounting Management;

5. Logistics and Catering staff members;

Yesterday SAASCAR hosted our first driver conference with the graduation of our new licensed drivers. With a driver pool consisted of 22 drivers and 8 teams, the SAASCAR Regional Championship by Aurum Energy is set to start in the next month with an action packed race at the Vinewood Racetrack, the biggest and best venue to acommodate the Los Santos and Blaine County public.

Greetings San Andreas! SAASCAR hosted with success our first practice session on the last weekend, with drivers going at high speed in our home racetrack! The season is set to start this month with a very competitive grid, these are the results of our practice session:

Dustin Rivers was the fastest on our first practice run with all the drivers showing consistency through the entire session and the field is split by less than one second between each other! Here are some pictures taken during our private event:
