My point is just that picking and choosing when your character wants to buy drugs purely based off the fact someone else’s roleplay doesn’t match your standards is damaging to the entire community that already has given up on selling drugs at small amounts for this very reason. 
 

I can’t count how many times I’ve sold to someone who’s just been like “ay, chu got drugs?” purely because I have to take my wins when I very rarely can get them in drug dealing. In fact, given how rarely I can make a sale? I probably could count it. 

To be honest, i've literally had people outside Vegas casino's in broad daylight just ask me 'wanna buy coke' etc, so it happens, but I'm gonna take into consideration everything around me as well as the urgency need I have for whatever drug.

Generally if a customer 'wants' drugs they have someone to call for them from a dealer they've used before.

 

I think to be more precise with my statement, I wish more drug dealers would take into consideration their surroundings when they're trying to sell drugs, because right now, alot do not. However when drug dealers make an effort to RP with me and do all this? I'm far more likely to buy for the reasons I gave earlier.

I can somewhat understand your point but I don’t think you should take it into your hands to reward players based on how good their roleplay is. 
 

Considering how difficult it is to make money in the low-end of the drug market right now, it should be in everyone’s interests to help out when they can, this means setting aside your standards so that other members of the community don’t have to roleplay as if an entire city of people don’t want to buy drugs; it’s unrealistic.

How do you actually expect them to be selling drugs? Even in real life if you're a street dealer, you'll be doing exactly that, you'll look for people at parks or bars or wherever (you've got to be careful of course or look for people that look like drug addicts) and ask them whether they want to buy drugs or not,  or you'll offer them some of your product for free until you eventually build a clientele.  

 

But the  problem is that they're very limited, the whole drug system needs a revamp, as of now people will deal drugs just for the sake of RP because you won't actually "profit" or the profit will be almost unnoticeable. Basically high risk-low reward when  in fact it should be otherwise.

People sell narcotics, in broad daylight, all the time. They disguise it as friendly conversations at plazas etc... then end it with a hand-shake that involves conducting the exchange. Narcotics dealing, in small amounts, is the equivalent to drinking water, to those that are selling or buying it... never really treated as a big deal when you conduct those type of exchanges.

It's not like "Shit, it's bright outside... let's wait until night" or "Shit, people are outside... let's go somewhere secretive". It's literally just disguising it as a friendly conversation and then conducting the exchange, even if tons of people are around. In fact, it's worst to sell narcotics, in public, during the night because it's suspicious for a person to be standing around certain public areas, where most stores are closed. Police conduct stops and terry frisks more often in the night simply because they have a higher reasonable suspicion, usually using "Loitering" as the justification. Thus, it's safer to sell narcotics, publicly, in the day.

BIG DEALS, on the other hand? Usually requires secrecy to the extent that they conduct deals at empty locations.

On another note, dealers WILL look at you, in the eye, and say "You need that ____? I have it up." to random people, unless they are highly suspicious that a person is a snitch or an undercover/off-duty officer. The average person, even non-drug users, won't call the police over being asked if they need narcotics... thus, they ask people in public, unless they believe that they may be snitches or off-duty/undercover officers.

It's realistic and it is not poor portrayal, at all.

Honestly, I was quite misinformed about this topic, instead of doing a silly discussion about this topic, it should be reported to Quality Management if the RP gets bad. Thanks for the info however, fellas! Made my eye open a bit more. Huge cudos.

I'd argue a character looking homeless might be MORE of a reason for a dealer to confront them, far from unrealistic.
