Deal with all these casinos

Recommended Posts

I don't think it's a bad thing to have a lot of them. Quite frankly I only managed to find two open in the last few weeks, despite regularly checking the ads in discord.

Fewer casino businesses just means it'll be even harder to find an open one.

I think the problem with only having two casinos is that, with time zones and personal lives, two casinos just isn't enough for the server

I love casino roleplay, and even with the amount of casinos on the server, I feel I rarely see them open for long enough for me to get my fill of it. Gambling is fun, especially with the card system in-game, but the casinos provide a lot more than a financial vice (or, financial downfall), for players. The bars and jobs within casinos are also rather fun to interact with.

Rather than simply removing casinos, make stricter R.P. quality guidelines towards running a casino. Those that fail to stick to realism should have their casino removed from the map.

I completely agree with this one. The way I see it, having multiple casinos isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The issue has always been the complete lack of effort some casino owners put into their own businesses, both in terms of portrayal, but even in terms of operating the business itself.

Hell, from what I was told, there's even a "casino" (and I use this term lightly in this case) currently operating with a system where their dealers are expected to provide their own money to cover the house if players win, and give a percentage to the owners if players lose. That way, the owners never lose money and instead only profit in some predatory fashion.

This is obviously not something done by every casino on the server, so I think that enforcing stricter rules would be a solution. Even if it is something that is regulated IC.

There is 100% lol. The Lucky Fish Casino. Saw the advertisement for it tonight, preferring to hire "self-funded" dealers.  It's ridiculous and a shitty way to portray a casino.

Since when has this become a server where people complain on the forums over IC topics, because they don't agree with it? It completely ruins the whole point of a heavy roleplayer server where most IC things should be dealt ICly. You listed no legitimate reasons to remove 80% of the casinos, only because, from what I assume, your own business is failing? Whilst I do agree the RP quality in gambling establishments can be greatly improved, removing most of them is no way to go about it.

how did you come to the conclusion that he's upset over his own business based on what you read on the thread?
