Schedule a meeting with admins in game (breakins, fires and other stuff)

Detailed description: Well, the idea is quite clear. How many times have you illegal roleplayers tried to break into a place, been waiting for an admin to respond for over one hour, just to have the event cancelled cause after waiting an hour and a half no one responded and it was too late for one or more than one of the involved players? The way to stop this from happening is to simply schedule your thing, this will help in a decent amount of occasions.

 

Just make a system that has some privacy for this (to avoid Metagaming), players will use that system to post the Day and Time when they want to do it, and a short description of what they are doing and why.

 

Commands to add: I think it could be better done through the forums, but maybe a /scheduleadmin [DAY] [HOUR] [MINUTE] [DESCRIPTION] could also work as long as they are logged and the /notifications system is used to contact the player about it ?

How would your suggestion improve the server? Events like breakins, fires, planned stuff (that often has the best roleplay associated, we are not talking about "sudden desire to rob a house" thing here, but something that has been thought out for long enough to schedule it, will not be frustrated anymore, or will be frustrated WAY less often.

There are still so many variables here. You and everybody involved in the robbery need to be online. The house you're robbing or the fire you want to set, needs to be at an appropriate time. The staff then suddenly need to clear their schedule for your event. A handful of others too.

 

What if you schedule this event a week ahead of time, and an staff accepts it, only for your accomplices to be busy oocly or icly, or the place you intend to burgled or arson is occupied more than usual, or maybe it's raining the exact time you wanna set fire to a property and now you gotta put it off after a staff accepts it. Or even if a staff member accepts it and something pops up in the days or hours leading up to the event and now they can no longer monitor it.

 

Tbh, the current system for these types of thing isn't the best, everybody knows that. But it's flexible for staff which is what they need.

The current systems make players wait over an hour on a daily basis, without even knowing if their request will be handled eventually before they need to leave.

 

I don't know if you have suffered it but I have, multiple times, and the shortest amount of time was 45 minutes.
