With the recent dev announcement, money is going to change. 

 

3) Economy changes / IRS-like investigation

As previously announced, we'll be switching to a realistic usage of cash money soon : no more robbery limit of cash money, but it'll also be way less used / valuable than bank money.

You'll carry the money directly on you 

And each business / players will have a bank account similar to the IBAN system:

 

We're currently finishing the updates on the MDC side to add statistics / graphs / financial warrants related to companies / bank accounts, and updating the penal code. The gamemode development is over, but still being tested.

With this being known, will there be an IRS faction? 

 

I think it should be done, or possible. As everything shouldn't be thrown on the currently existing factions. Not everyone wants to RP a cop while doing IRS investigative like work. It sounds like a fun, new idea I think people would like to get behind.

this was announced months ago but essentially, yes there will be an IRS-like faction, whether it's in the LSSD/LSPD or its own seperate thing is completely up in the air, but a investigation unit based on finances is coming.

There will be Financial Investigations coming yes, the specifics of who will be doing such has not been revealed yet. This is one of the laws that was written in coordination with this coming update;

There will not be a separate investigative faction, I have spoken to PD/SD about taking on this work and we will be looking to their respective DB's to investigate these financial crimes.
