Facebrowser is off the goop

It won´t change anyways, because it is based on OOC currency - and the people, who post those pics/texts, are a lot of those, who pay the membership fees, meaning making OOC money for the people involved. So - it is just good for business. Even if 70-80 percent goes to server costs, 20% stays in the pocket still.

And over-sexualized content always draws bigger audiences. So, the same mentality is being used in FB, as everywhere else in OOC life. Bigger audiences = more people that use OOC money to buy the "product".

If the administration team would actually put up some barriers, like Menyoo can not be used - this would help immensely of killing off the "porn" industry in FB. But that does also mean, that it would kill FB entirely, since lots of horny teenagers go there to watch menyoo asses and tits, or buy the contents in DMs.

You clearly don't follow a lot of people on social media, just saying. Sex has become very open to talk about the past few years, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat - it's flooded with sexualised content.

Is there a lot of it, yeh. Do some things cross the line, 100%. But this is massively sensationalizing the issue IMO - my Facebrowser is filled more with gangbangers talkkINg likKKee thKIIs and posting gun pictures or beefin' a rival faction than it is horny posting. Why not report these things using the appropriate functions instead of specifically targetting people? Even if I DO agree that some of those images attached are way over the top - calling people out personally instead of just hitting the report button seems really petty.

Minors are exposed to all sorts on this server - sexualized content, drugs, gang violence, blood, you name it - that's the nature of RP. I'd argue a minor being exposed to murder and gang RP is a lot more concerning than a minor being exposed to a "haha I'm horny" post.

Personally I disagree that we have under 18 year old gangbangers being RPed on the server hidden behind a "but that's IRL" argument. I find it weird that a grown person would choose to RP as a child - but that's my opinion and I'm sure many others would disagree with it. Same as you might find it weird that people do their horny-post stuff. People have varying opinions on everything, that's what makes a community a community.

I'd question people's comfort level RPing with a minor IRL. I know my comfort levels shift when I know the person I'm RPing with is under 18 - you naturally become more protective of them. I have to agree with others, under 18s shouldn't be on this platform because it's incredibly dangerous, not just the sexualized content but all the other stuff I mentioned to.

The server has sexual anims, allows stripclubs, sex stores, items being sold (I mean, I've picked up random dildos on the street just by pressing Y to enter my house). Just because there's a rule in place "protecting minors" - there is NO guarantee who that person is on the other side of the keyboard. It's not protecting anyone, it's a veil.

The best thing to do would be to either have it so Facebrowser is entirely friends based with no global feature, create an entirely new platform specifically catered towards the more adult-side of the community (which again, you cannot guarantee a minor won't sign up), outright ban anyone under 18 (which I feel is the most appropriate action) or outright ostracize large parts of the community that get their kicks from their sexual RP and ban it altogether.

Whatever happens, people will disagree. Staff can't win.

and can be seen by anyone browsing the discovery posts.

When was the last time you used 'discover posts' on any social media? It is notorious for cancerous content you don't want to see, may it be Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Facebrowser is no different, you see all kinds of stuff you don't, may it be horny posting, gang bangers posting their lastest kill, online dealers trying to sell weed. At the end of the day, you create your own bubble of what you want to see by adding or blocking other users...and so does your character. Want no horny posts? Don't add the persons / characters constantly horny posting.

Even if Facebrowser had some sort of 18+ content filter to completely isolate that side of Facebrowser from everyone else so that people don't have to be subjected to it, then it'd be better than nothing being done whatsoever as far as I'm concerned.

I just don't get what the necessity is for some people to defend the ability for players to post what they want despite the fact that the last time I saw my timeline on Twitter or Facebook, I didn't see one in 3 posts being overly sexualized to the point where it's more regular to see people talking about hooking up & casually talking about squirting in the same way you would going to the grocery store.

Not to even mention how some of the people in this thread defending the blatant hornyposting are guilty themselves of it.

At the least slap a mature content filter onto Facebrowser to hide these kinds of posts, because seeing it's RP potential for businesses, legal & illegal RP being squandered by people making horny posts & Menyoo porn just makes me feel as if the intended purpose of Facebrowser has been absolutely demolished by this point beyond recognition.

Yeah, you can say that about any type of offensive roleplay then, including the shit that isn't allowed on the server at all. It's all text on a screen right?

The two things you're mentioning literally do not even come close to each other. One is an in character status update posted (usually ironically, at least IK that's the case for 'Feisty', who I roleplay with on a daily basis). Offensive roleplay is also simply text on a screen, but the difference is that actions are actually being roleplayed, no action is being roleplayed if my character posts on FB as a joke 'lolol i need some dick', it's literally just my char being the dickhead she is, so you can't really compare that to for example, RPing rape w/out permission, pedo rp or something of that nature, which although it's just text on a screen, there's actually a rule being broken.

It's not about "they said naughty" it's just disturbing and delusional I mean who the hell would post something like that on a social media platform IRL? Like posting shit like that knowing that, for example, your own mother, family and all your friends gonna see that. Talking and being open about sex is super cool but that's way too much.
Like come on ik every guy behind those users will say yes yes it exists in real life as well but that's just dumb for me and that's the main reason I don't even use facebrowser anymore even tho it had potential. Can't even imagine what those guys think when they write down stuff like these like how horny can you be. Stop saying it's about "shit posting" that thing is just delusional. Feels like facebrowser turned into a imaprettyhoebutiactlikehornyvirginboybrowser. I'm pretty sure that that's not what this social media site was created for.

My character is included in those screenshots, cool. But hey, listen. Just go on Twitter, it's the same thing. Hell people even post their own nudes and stuff on there and you're complaining about some horny posts? My character loves attention and she knows that if you post lewd things on the internet, it'll give you that internet clout.
