Private companies tend to go overboard and censor its users content as pleases nowadays - may it be due to changing law or simply virtue signalling. Social media automatically restricts contents or straight up deletes / hides them based on blacklisted keywords or images. Looking towards acts such as Article 17 in the EU, it is no subject to get any "better". The internet is not the same as it used to be in 2010 and earlier and a private company deciding to "ban" images of weaponry is not that far off and can honestly be tackled on an in-character basis.
