Hello, this is Toko , one of the regular Georgian player on Los Santos roleplay server.
I've seen plenty of foreign roleplayers trying to develop Georgian character, but from what I see, they all just failed because they had no clue how to create a Georgian character, let's start from the names.
Non-Georgian players who were trying to roleplay a Georgian were taking the names which never existed in Georgian History, like Ibrahim Rusishvili, I asked him why did he take that name over private messages and he said that he found "shvili" subtitle over Georgian names in the google, nice but Rusishvili = Russianson, imagine how would it spell in Georgia, or the other people were taking the prince last names, but I've got a few guides to state here how to roleplay a regular hardworking, wiseguy, mobster or an Army member from Georgia.

How to choose a legit name and lastname?

First of all, when you create a Georgian character, you must look for a regular and nice name which doesn't disrespect anyone else, like looking over google "Georgian last names" you would find a lot on any letter. Another thing is that 98 percent of Georgian community are orthodox and has two names, first godfather's name and orthodox name which is given by the orthodox church. To find those orthodox first names you must look for the "Orthodox male / female baby firstnames" over google and you would find many, but most of them are coming from Israeli, but most known Georgian first names are Giorgi(George), Davit(David), Mikheil(Michael), Tornike(Like mine), Luka(Luca), Sandro and more.

All Georgian last name has a huge History (Excluding Megrel's last names which are chosen just on their own, without any history) and all of the last names are coming from Georgian regions like, Kahketi, Racha, Imereti, Guria, Samegrelo, Svaneti, Samcxe Javaxeti, Kartli and others. And the lasntames has endings like, "shvili" for example "Khutsishvili", "dze" for example "Chivadze", "Va" for example Kukava, Ani, ni "For example Girgvliani", "Uri" for example "Gigauri".

Those endings are mostly coming from the regions and I've made a little map about it.
It's like 10 percent of Georgian lastname endings stated there since there are a lot.

How to make a first approach in United States of America as a Georgian?
For a Georgian male or female, it's not too hard to get 10 years United States of America VISA, but you must have a great job in Georgia, nice income and you must make a counsel sure you are not going to STAY in USA! But most 90 percent of Georgians who are getting the VISA are going to find a job in USA and make money for family in Georgia.
There are around 2.000.000 Georgian immigrants in the world! Most of the GEORGIANS who are going to USA are taking loans in Georgia to get money for the air-tickets and the other fees, once they arrive in USA, they are immediately looking for a job in the Construction Sites and what else, most of the Georgians who're going to the USA are successfully finding good enough job to feed their families in Georgia, but the main purpose of going in the USA for Georgians is to FEED their families back HOME!

How are Georgian people making money?
There are a lots of jobs in USA for Georgian people, like driving a cab, working in the restaurant as a cook, working in the construction sites and such, since Georgian people are real hard-working people they make around $5.000-$15.000 a month in United States of America.
But the most important thing you guys want to know is how to roleplay an illegal Georgian immigrant, let's start from the bottom, 60 percent of Georgian males are ex-military and the 10 percent of them are regular and rest 30 percent used to be a gangster back in 90s or is still a gangster. All of them who are trying to make money illegally are running the houses, shops, cars and what else, but they are real amazingly professional and organized, they also make a lots of money over those things. Stealing gold, money and stuff from the houses, selling the goods to the other people or smuggling them in Europe or Georgia in a lots of ways and selling them for extra money, they are also running the shops, since there are a lots of foreign shops in USA or any other Country like Arabian shop which sells everything, a little market.
Georgian walks in the hypermarket, well known place with all these cameras and stuff, but he still robs it without anyone noticing it, robbing whiskey bottles, Nescafe coffees and stuff, in a day they can make around $1500-2000 over it.

How to roleplay a Georgian mobster?
Georgian Mobsters, known as Georgian Mafia in European countries "Mafia Georgienne" and what else.
Most of the Georgian criminal authorities are operating in Europe, Turkey, Russia and etc, but in USA? Nobody knows, maybe there are a lots of people out in USA who make some real business, Georgian mobsters are extorting rich businessmen, not just some regular people and there's a thing called "Obshyak" but still after Aslan Usoyan's death, there is the war between crews about who is going to take leadership and control Obshayk (in English words: gathering or something like that) Actually there were created a lots of Obshyak collectors and people made them their selves, there's obshyak in every city where Georgian people are living and all of them are controlled by the "watcher". Guy set by the thieves in law.
Georgia has numerous Mafia insiders and bosses who were the bosses of the WHOLE so called Russian Mafia and Georgians are one of the most dangerous people around Europe, as the Italian government said, Georgians are people who might be way more than their, Italian Mafia. But for the USA, I can clearly say that developing a Georgian gangster is same like old-fashioned La Cosa Nostra development, but you never sell the drugs, you never disrespect women, you always protect your honor! There are a lots of rules which must be followed by Georgians.

Questions & Answers
This is not all I could say about Georgian development because in my option it's something unexplained and we got a Georgian section in the Foreign countries and if you will have any question regarding developing a Georgian Character other than this one, you guys should write about it over here, send me a private message or send any Georgian player a private message, we'd like to help you guys out with everything we can!

Georgian subculture. (Thieves in Law)
Georgian subculture and thieves in law, that's what 80% of Georgian regular streak of males were following in 1990s.
Subculture is coming from the post-soviet Russian prisons and the main object was to make everything under control in the prisons, but soon the prisoners made their own rules about controlling the prison, after some of them got released, we faced the so called Russian Mafia which includes Georgians, Ukrainians, Armenians, Jewish-Russians, Azerbaijanians, Chechnyans and Ossetians.
After the fall of soviet union, the thief in law subject came more popular and it was like 70s La Cosa Nostra in post-soviet countries, but the strongest thieves in 90s were from Georgia, if you check out the primecrime.ru or any kind of leadership of so called Russian Mafia, you gonna see that three from five are Georgians, that's how the subculture came too far in Georgian regions, but that was not all about the prisons already, the street mentality has included the same structure like in the prisons, which caused a lots of blood leaks, fights, shootouts and what not.

Tbilisi was most known capital as Kutaisi for the thieves in law, thieves in law from Tbilisi were taxing the Casinos, Restaurants and local businesses in Moscow which is thousand of miles away from Georgia. Thieves were against the drug dealers in 90s, they always hated the people who were dealing with the drugs, Georgians hate the drug dealers and if a Georgian is dealing a drug, he's surely being taxed by the thieves and also being treated like nobody, if you are a cop in Georgia, a lots of people hate you, but if you are a drug dealer, more people hate you and treat you like nobody, also the drug dealers in Georgia are known as "Bitches/Snitches" and if someone has a name like that, nobody respects him and is mostly getting beaten up, subculture has a lots of different sides and rules, nobody likes the lie, if you lie to people, you gonna get what you deserve, you must be brave, tough and right to reach the top. That's how most of these people like Aslan Usoyan and the others are in the top. That's why Vyacheslav Ivankov got killed, he was protecting a massive drug-deals in USA and once he got back in Russia, he got shot for saying he was still a thief, but there are still a lots of versions of Little Japanese's death.

But let's get back to the main subject, Georgian people are still dealing with a lots of things and taking care of each other with the sub cultural rules, including the thief in law mentality, questions and lifestyle. In 2015, there are hundreds of sighting of sub cultural fights and wranglings in Georgia.

So, I wanted to say with this guide, Georgian Mafia doesn't exists, nor the Organized Crime Group, they are always a group of a few men, leading a convoy to the top, but a lots of people in this server and in the world would think that massive drug dealing out in the USA or Europe is going on by the Georgians, that's not how it works, the main resource of making money as a Georgian immigrant in the neighbor countries, USA or Europe is robbing the houses, stealing from the stores, extorting businesses and faking the documents. Over these low-profile crimes, Georgian so called "Mafia" damages Europe with almost the billion euros a year.

Credits for the guide goes to legendary Toko_Chivadze who has spent his time to create this useful information to provide better environment to the roleplay servers and improve roleplay purposes to each human being who's interested to portray a realistic Georgian character.
