FAMILY AFFILIATED IRISH MAFIA

The Family Affiliated Irish Mafia (or FAIM) emerged in the mid-1990s out of Contra Costa County, San Andreas, headed by one Coby Philips, an associate of the Aryan Brotherhood. Beginning merely as one of many enforcement gangs that the AB utilized, FAIM branched out and began engaging in drug trafficking and distribution. This grew this influence in the Bay Area and throughout Los Santos during FAIM’s golden years, the 2000s. While the criminal enterprise has yet to see a return to the prominence enjoyed in the 1990s and early 2000s, many FAIM cells and cliques still operate freely within Los Santos and the greater Bay Area respectively.

The survival of their influence followed by major arrests relied on FAIM’s subset gang, Dogtown White Boys (DWB). Los Santos FAIM members such as Weston Stigers and Roland O’Kelly used their influence within LS’ underworld to transform DWB from a street-level drug distribution gang into an effective arm of FAIM’s influence within Los Santos. Senior members of Dogtown White Boys even eventually enjoyed induction into official FAIM ranks, notably Duke Kirkman, “Skinny Mike”, Owen Moore and Simon Lynch.

Using muscle employed from DWB, FAIM catapulted their influence throughout Los Santos in the early to mid-2010s. White, mostly Irish-American gangs became prime recruiting pools for FAIM members within the Vespucci and Vinewood areas. Once notable 1990s to 2000s punk groups, skaters, taggers and cliques became vessels for FAIM to expand their drug distribution network. “Fuck The Rest” (FTR) is once such a crew. Originally founded by Dave Snyder during his early teens, remnant members piggy-backed off FAIM’s growing success and, and soon, many of their original members were certified FAIM members themselves with Simon Lynch’s support. In the modern era, this notably includes “Downer'' and Dave Snyder. Their influence manifested through local white gangs, such as GreenMeansMoney (amongst other names), who aided “Downer'' and Snyder in becoming suitable FAIM picks. While the group occasionally stays in contact with each other, most members have moved on with their lives; few have maintained their original hardcore lifestyle.

Many crews, such as GMM, have been used and abused by FAIM members in their bid for influence in LS’ drug trade, with very few gaining notable influence within the organization, and even less earning induction to its ranks. One clique, however, managed to gain membership and considerable influence in a historically short amount of time. “MoneyKeepsStackin” / “MyKrewSteps” (MKS) is a clique within the Hawick-Vinewood area, which initially served at the bottom of FAIM’s drug hierarchy. Initially a skating and tagging crew founded by childhood friends Carter Rose, Cody Miller and other youths in their early teen years. MKS quickly became involved in the drug trade as the group approached adulthood, contributing greatly to the rise of home invasions, drug-related convictions, and firearm-related convictions within the greater Vinewood area. The group gained state-wide attention following the fatal shooting of Deputy Sheriff Josefina Villobos. A remarkable amount of members have gained full induction, or at least close affiliation with the core structure of FAIM, and remains a notable element of their influence in Los Santos.

Now, in the early 2020s, FAIM controls a considerable amount of the drug trade in predominantly white neighborhoods, supplying several criminal enterprises directly or indirectly. While many of FAIM’s core membership in Los Santos has stayed out of the spotlight in recent times, the influence that they wield over the Irish-American community, and the Peckerwood community at large in San Andreas cannot be understated.

OOC Information:

We strive to portray a rendition of the Family Affiliated Irish Mafia. While it is not a fictional group, their expansion into the Los Santos County is purely fictional and does not reflect on real events. We also strive to uphold a high standard in regards to our members and the faction itself, by upholding a one-strike policy for all of our members.  We highly encourage those interested to research on FAIM, as well as white criminal groups before going forward with their characters.

This faction is invite only. If you are interested in roleplaying with us, or have any queries and/or qualms, please forward them to myself, @Mooseiclesor @carga.
