CAD Messages

Short description: It would be beneficial and make the CAD system more useful if we could send messages between one or more callsigns.

Detailed description: Currently law enforcement factions rely on numerous radio channels to communicate with each other. Under the current situation, this is the only realistic option to coordinate anything in-game. In real-life, these systems have this exact capability which is widely used to communicate and send information between units. Replicating this functionality with our current system would pretty much give us the same benefits. The current home page of the CAD would show any recent messages, and you should receive some kind of ping or notification from your CAD of an incoming message. The current duty roster page could be expanded with a button to start sending a message to another unit.

How would your suggestion improve the server? The system would decrease the reliance on numerous radio frequencies which is unrealistic and encourages unconscious metagaming. Furthermore, the CAD messages would increase the engagement between units and due to its restricted information content, encourage units to meet up and roleplay with each other to discuss.

It would be nice to see the CAD given some more functionalities and such notifications can benefit car-to-car communications, lessen the clutter in chat / on radio frequencies. Maybe also show a indicator on the bottom of the screen or with the speedometer upon entering your car about unread/unchecked notifications/messages from the CAD system.

This is definitely needed. It will allow LEO factions to have more realistic means of communication and allow us to remove this power game radio usage we have today where cops actively monitor 10+ radio frequencies at once.

Absolutely going to be upvoting this, in favor of having some more dedicated methods of communication between cars. It also reduces the need for phone calls and SIMPLEX usage between officers as they can simply send messages over CAD. Supported.

I'd also like to see the ability to send a message to all units on the duty roster. This can be useful for supervisors.

Seems really cool, with this I'd also love to see an option for somebody to sign in as dispatcher, and get the ability to change locations as well as statuses of each units, makes everything feel more realistic and fluent.
