CANNABIS LEGALIZATION ACT VETO BY GOVERNOR BRANDT

 

 

Governor Brandt has issued a VETO in regard to the legislation, halting the progress of the bill and subsequent enactment. The VETO has been forwarded to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate for review.

 

January 2021, the Senate of the State of San Andreas convened to discuss and vote on a bill leading to the legalization of marijuana, following the Cannabis Legalization Act of 2021.

 

"A bill to establish control protocols and regulatory process for the introduction of medicinal use and adult-use/recreational cannabis in San Andreas." 

 

The Senate joined together at Alta State hall for the discussion, where numerous witnesses also came forth to offer their professional opinions on the bill. The discussion was open to the public and saw a number enter the hall to bear witness. Dr. Danielle Shaw among those present, gave her educated opinion on the matter.

 

The bill was pushed for a full Senate vote following the discussion, whereby all Senators voted “Yea” in favour of the bill, after some deliberation in house.

 

Following a final voting period, with again all Senators voting in favour to pass the bill, President Ernst concluded, passing the bill and referring it further to the Governor’s desk where at this time the bill has been subject to a VETO by Governor Brandt.
