New groups system, faction requests closed for 2 weeks

Hello everyone,


In order to tackle a growing issue of new factions being submitted and only surviving few weeks / or with a not well thought project, we've decided to change how the system works. The goal will also be to decrease the workload on faction management as new faction reviews are very long to do, which brings lot of frustration to players who wishes to create a faction as their roleplay is sometimes halted for weeks.

 

All players will now be able to directly create an unofficial group thread in https://forum.gta.world/en/forum/936-unofficial-groups/ and jump ingame to roleplay. Faction management will regularly check new groups to ensure that it does not break existing continuity, or that your group meets minimal standards, in order to close it as quick as possible if needs be.

 

Faction requests have new requirements and we recommend all new / small projects to first start as a group before submitting your faction requests, it'll allow faction management to review your roleplay on top of reviewing the thread. But you may still directly submit your faction if you believe that your project is mature enough.

 

If your faction is denied, you may still be allowed to roleplay as a group depending of the denial reason.

 

A group has no ingame faction script, no UCP scripts, and is considered to have an ICly limited power over other factions when it comes to the aspects of fear roleplay, retaliations & wars. Character kills on the entire group can be granted to existing factions if a war had to be started.

 

Faction requests will be closed for 2 weeks to allow faction management to finish reviewing all pending requests, and start with a new sheet for February 2021.
