It's not GTA Online, and you start out with $200,000 from your first 40 hours. You can rent a motel room and get a decent car for 20 grand at a dealership. You're still left with minimum $150,000 even if you don't work in any of the business or jobs available?

 

If your character's first goal is to get himself a firearm, you can easily spend a few days of developing with that as well. Robberies aren't always done with firearms, it could be anything really.

Not true, you can get a PF gun if your character ICly makes sense for you to have one. Aka not gangs and many various forms of mobs and MC's.

I think what he meant is you can't get a PF if you have a criminal record.

If you are affiliated with any sort of gang, or have been seen with people who engange in criminal activities, you will get your application denied.(you'll obvisouly get denied if you have a criminal record)
