While Aurum undergoes a time of transition, it's important to keep our ties with other legal factions and help create roleplay for one another. It was also nice seeing some SAGOV Senators down there! We definitely look forward to seeing more of these large-scale events in the future and working collectively with other factions and businesses. Scorpio Posted October 14, 2021 Share Posted October 14, 2021 Aurum Corporate Structure Overhaul As part of Aurum's restructure and scaling down, @Winged& myself have sat-down and discussed how we can simplify Aurum's structure. We felt that we had stretched ourselves far too much and several departments simply existed for the sake of existing. There was no sense of direction to follow within the departments, nor expectations. As such, moving forward, we want to ensure each department at Aurum contributes something to the organisation. Our new recruitment methods aim to paint a clearer image of what to expect when applying for a role; which can already be seen from the new and revised job descriptions we have designed for Operations. We hope to replicate this method across all functions in due course with the respective middle-management of each department. These job descriptions include an OOC section which aims to give an overview of what type of roleplay to expect in the hopes of providing a gist of how an employee can actually contribute to the organisation within their roles. - Business Development and Marketing have been merged so as to provide more roleplay opportunities to the role. (More details will follow in the OOC section of the job description when they are devised.) - R&D has been renamed to ‘Engineering’ for the sake of simplicity and the function it falls under is renamed to ‘Technology’. - Plant Operations renamed to Refinery Operations. - Renewable Energy and Oil Processes departments have been removed. - Quality & Safety department has been removed. Recruitment will soon be opening across all functions once all revised job descriptions have been created. In accordance with the feedback we had received, we will be trying to limit recruitment into Corporate departments and try and maintain a balanced feel to the organisation by introducing a cap on how many employees there can be in a department; which will gradually increase as each department is filled. This is to ensure we don’t have a repeat of the problem where one department greatly outnumbers another. 1 Link to comment
