Ever since the 1960s, they have dealt with the one issue that originally brought them together, that being racism. Being singled out by the public, law enforcement and fellow inmates, the black prison population naturally had to come together in order to resist attempts against themselves. The year 1966 saw the Black Guerilla Family formed by an individual named George Jackson, creating a "Black Nationalist prison & street gang". The aim of this was to band blacks in prison together against both the inmates and COs they would have to deal with. The group saw prominence throughout its initial years, however, as decades have gone by, various street gangs and prison groups arose, impacting the growth and political relations between the black-oriented groups within the prison system. With George Jackson's supposed assassination in 1971, riots broke out across the streets and prisons, and the Black Guerilla Family lost its figurehead. Throughout the 1980s, large African-American street gangs started to clash with each other, their issues following them into prison. The tensions rose so high that the sanctity that was once there was seemingly irreparable. With beef being taken from the streets into the prison system, the black prison structure completely divided into multiple groups with differing mentalities and goals, such as the 2X Crip card, 3X Crip card, 4X Crip card, and the Blood Line, all of which being a few examples of the many differing organizations whose alliances established their own separate cars within the prison system across the United States. With the decline of the Black Guerilla Family in recent years, one member of the group by the name of Raymond "Ray" Solomon from the San Andreas State Prison, Los Santos County would be transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility, pending a court case. Facing drug distribution charges after a successful operational sting, Ray would take his militaristic mindset developed within the system and taken from his BGF roots, and attempt to apply it within the Twin Towers Correctional Facility. "The Cabinet" was the more organized approach to gathering the black population within TTCF, an attempt by Raymond and a fellow inmate, Malcolm "Tiny Mac/MK" Baldwin, to take control and provide security to their race against the attempts of both white and Hispanic inmates. With the goal of establishing a dominant black power within the facility, their hopes of extending it beyond the facility would influence their decisions. "The Cabinet" was formed of the most dangerous and feared individuals of TTCF's black population, and with the vast amount of black individuals within the facility, the group faced no shortage of manpower inside. The power and unity associated with The Cabinet and its movement makes it an appealing group for any black inmate to want to take part in. Unfortunately, "The Cabinet" was short-lived after Raymond Solomon's popularity amongst inmates died down and Malcolm Baldwin took complete control. Over the next few weeks, Malcolm Baldwin's popularity was soaring with members of the Hoovers and the 3X card. Malcolm led "The Cabinet" for sometime before falling out of power when a 2X affiliate, Jordan "JC" Chambers, made contact with another 2X affiliated inmate, Savino "Nfant Vino" Broadus, and forcefully took over the majority of operations in-and-out of TTCF. This led to Malcolm Baldwin's downfall, at which point, the 2X card had replaced "The Cabinet" as the supervising force among black inmates and as a result, have led themselves back to an unorganized and dangerous time for black inmates who do not have the privilege of calling themselves a follower of the 2X card. The 2X Crip card refers to the Neighborhood Crip/2X Crip alliance which refers to the groups that have taken on the 2X alliance and/or moniker. It has developed for a few decades now and was created alongside the Gangster Crip/3X Crip alliance during the Eight Tray Gangster Crip vs. Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crip war. Most of the groups that pledge allegiance to the 2X card are easy to identify due to their usage of the Rich Rollin' and Neighborhood Crip monikers. Other signs of affiliation to this card is the usage of the word "Infant", stylized as "Nfant". Some groups that pledge their allegiance to the 2X card are the W/S Liberty Shoreline Crips, W/S Underground Blocc Crips, W/S Rollin' 30s Harlem Crips, and the W/S Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crips. The 3X Crip card refers to the Gangster Crip/3X Crip alliance which refers to the groups that have taken on the 3X alliance and/or moniker. It has developed for a few decades now and was created alongside the Neighborhood Crip/2X Crip alliance during the Eight Tray Gangster Crip vs. Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crip war. Most of the groups that pledge allegiance to the 3X card are easy to identify due to their usage of the Tr3y, 3X, and Gangster Crip monikers. Do not be fooled however, some gangs that originally pledged allegiance to the 3X card may now identify with the 2X card instead while keeping their 3X affiliated monikers in-place, such as the E/S 87 Gangster Crips, and E/S 97 Gangster Crips. Some gangs do not claim any other cards but are on friendly terms with the 3X card, such as the Hoover Criminal gangs, W/S Insane Crip Gang, and W/S Davis Family Gangster Bloods. The 4X Crip card refers to the Bandit Crip/4X Crip alliance which refers to the groups that have taken on the 4X alliance and/or moniker. It is one of the lesser known cards due to its irrelevance in the city. The groups that pledge allegiance to the 4X card are not so easy to identify. It is common amongst gangs in the San Bernardino area, but is also used by a series of Bandit Crip gangs in Vespucci, like the E/S Oriental Bandit Crips, and E/S Blacc Bandit Crips. The Blood Line card refers to the Blood alliance which refers to the groups that have taken on the Blood/Brims/Piru alliance and/or moniker. Commonly mistaken for the United Blood Nation, the Blood Line is the authority figure of "kutt" Blood members. "Kutt" members are inmates who came in as a member of a Blood/Brims/Piru street gang and were initiated into the Blood Line."No Kuttz" is a phrase that is proudly used by Blood/Brims/Piru members to show and represent that they were not coerced or initiated into the "Blood Line" and stayed true to their original gang while inside prison walls. Groups do not pledge allegiance to the Blood Line, but members of these groups may end up pledging their allegiance. These members are easy to identify as they will generally be identified or even identify themselves as being or having been "kutt". This faction is the remains of the original "Black Car" faction which has since developed with new leadership who (as 2X affiliates) who are showing favoritism towards those who have fallen in line with the "2X Crip alliance". We are a faction that hope to establish a presence for black roleplayers within the prison facility while maintaining and developing a realistic environment that has come out of real-life based roots, and was developed fictionally but is now moving towards a more realistic and hands-on portrayal of black inmates in L.A. county jail. There are multiple co-existing cards inside The Black Car, but the most dominant card is usually the one in control. The aims of this group are not to simply "control" all black factions on an OOC scale, but rather create a leading force in-character, and encourage individuals to roleplay within the facility.
