Yorha
I am currently planning on getting myself a chopper. I think it would be neat to be able to rappel my family/gang/faction, what you wanna call it. Either for fun or other things. And perhaps even used for PD in their choppers if such a situation would show itself. I know the vanilla game itself has a rappeling system, i don't know if this works on the server but if not then i'm suggesting it :) I personally find rappeling very cool and could even be used in Training, both privately or for example SWAT or such. And if possible, a house rappeling system would also be cool. And to make it a little less OP, perhaps they could make it so, to be able to rappel, you would need to have rope in your inventory. Perhaps bought from 24/7 or other ways. That i do not know. This is all just a fun idea i have, is it needed? No. But could it be fun? I would think so. That's all :) Theres not many ways someone who wants to get a chopper like me can earn money. But i think this could help people like me to get customers, who would be in need of a chopper and getting on top for example a building. Link to comment
codependency
If this is gonna be added, only allow PD to use it in extreme situations. Pulling this in public by random civilians is just gonna kill immersion if I'm honest with you. 1 Link to comment

I'm fine with that :) I think this could be a smart way for PD to get units, officer (whatever you call them) Around in important situations :) Edited January 5, 2018 by Yorha Link to comment
NickTaSpy
I think it was suggested here. I support the suggestion but it should be limited to tactical forces in my opinion because rappelling is not as easy to perform as it sounds. Link to comment

Ah i'm sorry, i didn't see it ^^ But yes, i'm not against it being only for PD and the likes. Link to comment
Lionhearted
You all mention PD however it could be useful for FD rope rescue too! Link to comment

OhSoFly
I don't want to ridicule any suggestion but your original post suggests this should be available openly and freely. I'm no expert in rappelling but I'm pretty sure if gangs (even if they had the money for a 500k+ aircraft) would struggle surviving jumping out of a helicopter using professional harness equipment. And why would they even need it? This struggles with the concept of realism. I'd support it for special ops, but even a regular cop would struggle with this level of specialism, so I'd generally rather see it not implemented then practised unrealistically, not to mention how OP it is. The original post was open and freely, but that's why people can argue and put their opinions out there. Just because the original post was open and freely, dosen't mean it has to be like that if it's implemented. I would support the idea of only SWAT/Special Ops teams on the legal side of the law use it. I just generally like rappeling and even if the use of it is very strict, i would still be happy that it's there. Link to comment
Glen
This would be nice. Agree that it should only be used by tactical teams and not regular officers. At the moment, the LSPD are not allowed helicopters due to the lack of safeguards in place if you crash whilst flying one. Link to comment
