Pillbox Hill Hospital & You

Interior looks great! I’m curious how you will portray smaller, non-emergent medical scenarios. I’m not sure if you’re from the US, but typically things such as work physicals, cold, flus, bloodwork, lacerations etc are typically sought after at a Rapid Care type of clinic. This is because going to a hospital is usually reserved for emergencies or having to meet with a provider because it’s beyond the realm of a general practice Physician Assistant. Will this be incorporated into the hospital or will you set up a clinic off site for these kind of issues?

I can really see this expanding roleplay opportunities in the server such as civilian run ambulance such as the American one, AMR. They are capable of doing regular emergencies to the hospital but 95% of there job is transporting people from their home to a clinic or the hospital with no lights or siren. I would love to see how the server uses this to expand the medical roleplay scene!

There has been the odd talks with partnering with Hope health when it comes to non emergency care/follow up appointments. If and when this is sorted/continued, I will update the thread.

Do we have to go through ER/Surgery roleplay if we really don't want to?

Not that I personally have anything against it and I think it's excellent this is being done, I just really don't want to.

Medical RP as a whole makes me squeamish, and is very one-sided and un-fun for the person on the receiving end. In my several years of RP I don't think I can name a single instance of medical RP being done on my character that I actually enjoyed.

So as FD will we be recommended (or obligated if theres hospital staff online) to always transport to Pillbox hill despite being in say Davis or Del Perro? (Where obviously, Central or Mount Zonah are closer).

Also how will communication work? Will you guys have a landline FD has to call to say they're dropping off a patient (picked up by staff but NPC'd unless they're free) or are you guys planning to try and have a mutual radio?

To correct myself from earlier, no member of the hospital, under any circumstances will be allowed to be corrupt OOC or otherwise.

Why is this so? Just genuinely curious as to why such roleplay would be prohibited. I imagine if corruption perms were delegated to only trusted individuals that go through an application process, it would be safe guarded from people simply doing a '/me takes drugs from medicine cabinet.'

The fact you're saying "we've" fucking disgusts me, and you didn't credit the poor fuck thats put in countless hours/days/weeks mapping this so you can have it. Fucking "we've," word your shit correctly, you haven't done shit. There, I put my two cents. Love you, @Tiddy

"HaveADreamYesterday at 8:24 PM
uhh
idk
but
corruption isn't allowed
in the hospital
at all" It lines up with FM's directives and how the gov wants to run things this way.

This thread has a harsh lack of credit for who’s actually the talent and effort behind the mapping.

This wasn't intentional, when I made this it was under the belief that the big "grand" announcement this weekend going over everything gov expansion related would cover it, but im not entirely sure it will so I've updated this post accordingly. Tiddy's done an amazing job at getting this all sorted for us.

I believe this will be covered under the rules to allow players to opt out for OOC reasons if it makes them uncomfortable.

Roadtrain should be releasing an internal memo in regards to FD/Hospital communications about how things are being done. We have discussed it a fair while ago. If there's any questions not answered by his memo, reach out to me and I'll clear it up.

I may be in the minority but I feel like it would be better to close all the other hospitals in the CITY (not Blaine) and use this exclusively.

That's up to FM.
