Whatever floats your boat man. Definitely I do not see them in Los Angeles. In-fact if you tried this in real life and you start blocking off traffic for cops and try acting like one you’ll be arrested for obstruction and or impersonating an LEO. Again this is my opinion I could be wrong but I wouldn’t want to write an essay on this either. I just don’t find this realistic at all and yes i’ve read your posts.

if you go Business to Business is because you’re protecting assets which is definitely realistic obviously. Although what I’m noticing is a surge of patrols as if they’re somewhat serving as the eyes and ears of the LSPD. Again this is a game so I welcome something different but that doesn’t imply that it’s realistic by any means.

Please stop taking the photo out of context, it's literally explained why we blocked roads two posts above yours.

As I noted in my previous post, I informed G6 to block traffic off, SFM = Peace Officers in the state of SA, so, my character, being a cop, ordered it. Sure, we don't see them in every City, State, County, but it is realistic. G6 has a specific route system setup, to go, business to business to protect these assets, make sure doors are locked, make sure a robbery isn't happening, or even as simple as, making sure CCTV and alarm systems are still up to date, things like that. If they have a contract they need to serve, then they need to do what they need to do. If a panic alarm goes out to a business, G6 responds, and once the LSPD/LSSD gets on scene, I would say, 99.9% of the time they hand over the situation, until they start getting dragged into it more by simply... standing, and trying to give information to responding LEO's.

People are taking the word "patrol" very... heavy for some odd reason. What do you expect them to do? Walk from the HQ in Strawberry up to a Contract in Paleto? Mall Cops here in the States, patrol the area they are contracted in.. And.. serving as eyes and ears of the LSPD? I mean, if you take it out of context, sure, seems wrong.. but isn't that what Security is suppose to do? Report crimes, prevent them, be the eyes and ears of a contract they serve?

It seems a huge problem with the perception of Gruppe is due to most players not being from the US and therefore having no idea how US security companies operate. This is a problem with the server as a whole, people don't understand we are not rping EUROPE we are rping the USA. Yes we have guns, yes we have kevlar, yes we roll from property to property and we use an amber lightbar. In the US IRL security actually get tasers so in game we are afforded less equipment than real life.

I don’t know how you guys find this realistic at all. Since when do we have a security agency in real life patrolling the streets and going to local businesses at-least not in the United States? Security agencies are normally found in malls, big corporation buildings and for private security. Not to mention moving money around from bank vaults etc. The way its approached in this server is a bit odd and different from real life. Although  I don’t mind the concept at all.

Do you get out much? Because the company that Gruppe is based off of, G4S, rolls around my neighborhood (major city in the US) with a branded security car running an amber lightbar, slowly driving around as they look around the houses and vehicles to make sure nothing is being broken into. In the neighborhood right next to it there is a different company that does the same exact thing, these companies are there 24/7 patrolling from property to property.

In the server there are constant carjackings, muggings, killings, and extortion plaguing the city like it's the purge and you don't think a private security company will emerge doing that same exact thing?

This YouTube channel hosts a plethora of bodycam vids from a US Security company that operates legal duties on a day-to-day basis, Most GTAW rpers would flip their shit if Gruppe attempted some of these things. https://www.youtube.com/c/GlobalSecurityfortmyers/videos

What I think a lot of people forget is most things can be handled in an IC capacity. If a G6 officer breaks a law, they can be dealt with the same way another civilian is dealt with. If it's an rp quality issue just like in any other faction it can be reported to the faction leaders.

I myself had one interaction with G6 in over 8 months within the LSPD. For my character the experience was negative but it was a minor incident that my character could deal with himself on the spot.

I just want to give you guys some creds here regardless, you've been having at this for a very long time and that deserves some respect. No one is perfect, nor is any faction. And clearly you guys want to improve and keep improving to create a positive roleplaying experience for all players involved as well attempting to portray the company as realistic as possible.

Keep up the good work and keep striving for better! Hope to see you guys ig.

A good example of this:

I was a Protection Officer (Abigail Reid) a while ago while it was still developing and actually pretty small compared to Irongate, Bloodhound and yes, Executive Security. I will be posting my own expirience within the faction, aswell as what I see now. It's a comparison, so please read further than the first paragraph.

How /WAS/ Gruppe 6?

Back in the day I tried joining the LSPD, but I was promptly denied by High Command due to my admin record (two bans for MGing which I still dispute). This is when I saw the advertisement for Gruppe6, and decided to give it a shot. The uniforms looked cool, and I didn't have any expirience with security roleplay yet; it looked fun from what I saw! Little did I know it wasn't actually Gruppe 6 I saw out there.

The moment I joined I was instantly met with ''yeah, this faction will probably cost you money than gain you money''. This was a bit weird to hear, but its about the roleplay and the paychecks gave me enough money to realisticly roleplay anyway, so I rolled with it.

At first, it was cool. Nikki showed me around with how the job works, what my duties are, who my supervisors are, and comforted me that I didn't need the 3 licenses, aslong as I was satisfied with being unarmed. I was 🙂
The task however became very repetetive. There was little to no input from the command structure on how to make the job more interesting, or to host events as far as I could see. Regardless of wether people were on IRL vacation or not, it was also obvious that only Nikki and 1 other supervisor were active; the rest was simply absent from their positions and when you brought that up... you'd know they don't like you talking about it.

I eventually left G6 because it was boring, toxic, had unrealistic gender balances, and it did not advance my character at all.

So how is it now?

Gruppe 6 has grown a lot ever since I left and it boomed as soon as Executive Security went out of business (lets be honest, thats what happens when your main competitor shuts down). From what I can see is that my previous issues of it being boring and toxic have been completely mitigated! I can't confirm this ofcourse as Im no longer part of the faction.

I've seen the clientbase expand a lot, mostly at Ex-ES clients, which is cool. This allows for more diverse RP rather than just drive around to check-up on contracted properties. They got themselves a contract with the city and quite frankly the Protection Officers have been a lot nicer ICly too. The command structure is back active to its fullest extend asfar as I can see, and some actual genuien progress is being made to promote activity, realism and even events amongst its employees. Great!

@zaXer. and @Soup, you two did an amazing job of bringing the faction where it is now. You deserve more appreciation and people should stop hating; there legit is no reason too. Sure there are some slight things to improve but at the moment I don't see these being an issue at all.

G6 was shit, progressed a lot, and is now great. Its amazing! 🙂

As for the people complaining G6 is ''eyes and ears'' of the LSPD and they ''patrol like the LSPD''... neighboorhood communities hiring security companies to act as Neighboorhood Watch are an actual thing. G6 even actively advertises this.

My personal issues with G6 mostly stem from their handling of Lucky Buddha in Little Seoul, and that is the fact that they always tried to set up some sort of military-esque checkpoints on public property leading to said Casino, acting as if they owned the public spaces.
Luckily LSPD seemed to not give a crap about it and duly towed their vehicles.
All in all, it just seems that they go out of way to antagonize locals for some reason, trying to keep peace through being rude rather than being cooperative with everyone around them, because, at the end of the day, their job is still to guard and not enforce unlike LSPD/LSSD.
