The Main Street Mafia Crips (MSMC) are predominately an African-American street gang located in the heart of South Los Santos mainly operating between Davis Ave and Roy Lowenstein Boulevard. Formally known as the "Main Street Hustlers" until several Crip factions started flooding the neighborhoods around them.  The street gang, Main Street Hustlers, along with its founding leaders Melvin "Money" Jones, Keith "Hot Head" Kildare, and Gerald "Knuckles" Caldwell, established a very distinctive reputation in South Los Santos in the late 1950s. The group was known for being extremely money-orientated and cunning. Most locals and residents around that time noted that MSH members were "slick" furthermore concluding that their were things happening right under there nose that they were completely unaware of. MSH had a short but interesting span, only lasting for nearly a decade until a new fad began in the early '60s, cripping.

In 1961, the Main Street Hustlers made headlines after Money Jones got incarcerated on multiple felony charges such as; Human trafficking, sexual assault, first degree murder, distribution of illegal narcotics, and money laundering. This lead the group to break in shambles, letting multiple internal disagreements distance each other. While the rest of the members were trying to figure out the next step, Knuckles Caldwell plotted against MSH with a power-orientated man by the name of Nathaniel "Slim" Thomas who was also a well known member of the Davis Crips. The agreement between Caldwell and Thomas was to take down the Main Street Hustlers completely, but only to implement something better.

From that day forward, Caldwell always spoke to his fellow MSH members that it'll be a wise decision to integrate with the Crips due to multiple reasonings, but Kildare stood strongly against him every time. These disagreements lead to a complete fallout and split. On January 21st, 1962, Caldwell and Thomas approached a parked car on north Main Street (which was later renamed Roy Lowenstein Boulevard in 1976) and opened fire with two semi-automatic 9mm pistols killing Dontae "Bolt" Lowry, a MSH member that was loyal to Kildare. This started a very bloody war between the two MSH groups, creating a nasty revenge cycle. By 1963, both sides of the Main Street Hustlers lost more than half of their members. The war, which Thomas instigated and played a large role in the whole time, turned into Thomas's perfect opportunity to replace MSH with something of his own. On March 2nd, 1965, Keith "Hot Head" Kildare succumbed to bullet wounds to the back of the head at his Main Street residence, finalizing Thomas's plan.

This is where the transition from a independent street gang to one of the puzzle pieces of a "criminal network" was created. Thomas recruited the rest of the MSH members and turned the hood Crip as planned. Later on falling under the Mafia umbrella.

The Main Street Mafia Crips are allies of all gangs under the Mafia Crip brand. Members of this gang have been known to sport yellow and blue apparel and will often dawn University of Michigan gear to symbolize their gang.
