yerro Posted November 11, 2020 Share Posted November 11, 2020 Watched Fremie play it the other day. - Can't say how hard combat is but the way it flows reminded me of Dark Souls. - (This is heavily borrowed from Fremie) — Valhalla was (apparently?) developed by the same studio that did Origins, so they got a lot of things right that Odyssey did not. - Haven't played the game, only watched it to the point of coming to terms with one simple truth — the game seems mediocre at best. The setting wasn't my thing, climbing/world exploration/similar mechanics feel stale and cringy for the most part. Maybe I'm biased, but I'm just not impressed. Link to comment

mikethemike Posted November 16, 2020 Share Posted November 16, 2020 Performance kinda sucks. I preferred the atmosphere of Odyssey. Combat is a little lacking imo. Great game overall, but I feel Odyssey did it better story-wise & combat-wise. (I'm only 20 hours in so far, so maybe it ramps up?) Link to comment

I had a little go on black flag but didn't really get into it. I'm looking forward to seeing what Valhalla is like though as I've heard great things about it Link to comment
orangejuice Posted December 14, 2020 Share Posted December 14, 2020 combat is a bit difficult i think but game is fun, enjoying going around as a viking and pillaging and killing everything i see, bit pissed i cant cut down too many civilians. i do like the fact it's in england and visiting citys, towns and villages i've been irl, don't get that often in a game as a brit, especially not someone from the midlands lol Link to comment
